      Stage lights wash your features out, makeup helps. It’s probably much more common for politicians than we realize, but other men might be less obvious with a dark brown vs black liner.

        Yeah. Every single person you see on TV is wearing makeup, and if you ever see someone who isn’t, they look like a diseased potato. I’m just saying why does heavy eyeliner have to be part of it for JD? It’s just baffling. It has to be on purpose. Right?

          I can imagine someone trying to explain the drawbacks of black vs dark brown liner to him and him dismissing caring about makeup and ending the conversation, but that’s just conjecture. Maybe he just likes how it looks.

          i mean, no, obviously. he’s a soulless vampire. but his dead soulless eyes are what he feels most delicate about and the eyeliner helps him deal with that disphoria

            Or maybe his soul is so dark that his eyes just always look like that, and any amount of makeup will just char and blacken and produce that effect whatever its original color.
