Oh my gosh yes. My dad is a complex person, I do have a lot of sympathy for him, but that only goes so far. The healthiest way I’ve found is a sporadic email convo a few times a year.

My husband and I have been together for 19 years. In that time he has met my dad exactly once. As we’re standing on the front porch, watching my dad drive away after the visit, he turns and looks at me and says “now I get it”.
I can get down with this.
That’s what I do too. Works really well for me. Might add in the drinking more water part though, I could definitely use some more hydration in my life.
I wish we had a 30 year! That would be amazing in some ways. I have to renew this year and I’m not looking forward to it.
Not Canada. Highest I’ve seen is 10 year, most of the time it’s 5.
We have to renew in Oct and we were looking at BMO and they have a 10 year fixed now.
Not who you were talking to, but no, the closing costs are one time only. You basically just renew or get a new mortgage somewhere else. Ours is coming up in October, we’re a bit worried but hopeful it won’t be too bad. We’ve got wiggle room as we got a great deal on our house but it’s still going to suck. I have seen a 10 year fixed, might go for that if we can get a good enough rate.
I would also like that!
Edit to say I also hope you feel better quick. Bronchitis is the worst.
I work in a trade school and apprenticeship has been around for ages so I think it would translate. I would just say that I help teach apprentices along with their masters, specifically about boats and ships.
Will do! Thanks for the tip!
I’d never heard of that so I did some looking and wow, that looks so good! I’m going to try to make one, though I’ll have to change up the chutney that seems to be common as I don’t like cilantro.
Kinda reminds me of the Korean Street Toast, except that one has ham. The grilled sandwich I’ve been eating recently is the Charlie Brown. It’s egg salad. So good!
It depends what I’m knitting tbh. I have both wood and metal.
I got the knitpicks wood ones first and that’s what I learned on. I like that they’re sticky for doing lace or fair isle as I’m slow at those and the stitches don’t slip off, feels more stable. The chiaogoo I got secondhand, which was amazing, and they are great for just straight up power knitting. Super fast but slippy as all get out. I’d suggest getting a wood set next, they will definitely grow with you and won’t be as slippery while you’re trying new things. Happy knitting!
FYI, the leach is the trailing edge of a sail. Not that I think he knows that, but maybe his spellcheck does. Doesn’t excuse the rest….
Ah! Very cool! Thank you so much, just went on a neat Google maps explore.
Is that the Flores island in Guatemala or in BC?
Definitely do! It’s super easy to grow. It likes to spread something fierce though so I’ve done mine in a big pot. Seems to be doing ok.
Me, I do. With pickled jalapeño and cheese.
Me too! I loved Hardee’s when I was a kid. There isn’t one near me now (Canada) so that sucks. Horseradish is such a great flavour. I grew some last year, time to grate and recreate!
Just my husband, but not sure he counts as he doesn’t have an account. I did meet one of my closest friends on Reddit though.
