If you’re using IMAP, it would just be sending account credentials from your IP, but X sequential IMAP logins in a row from one IP would suggest one person in 2025, since everyone is using apps.

It’s possible that I’m mistaken. I’ve seen it claimed that it still has the IMEI, but that might be inaccurate, and I don’t know exactly where I saw it. I’ve never seen an explicit claim that it does not before now, so I’m not sure who is correct.
You should also beware that if you use the Google Play stuff for push notifications to work (even sandboxed afaik) it will include the IMEI in the payload when it phones home to Google.
I’m not sure what’s considered best these days. My privacy v security concern slider has been more on the privacy side in recent years, so I mostly torbrowser.
I’m kind of surprised anyone isn’t using magnets. I feel like I never see torrentfile only anymore.
The purpose of tor is to blend in, any customization undermines that. If you are concerned primarily about security over privacy, it’s probably better to use a hardened browser and a VPN instead.
I will grant that ‘hot’ is often trash, but that’s what you get when it’s on YOU not an algorithm run by a corporation to curate your own experience. And the idea that .world or hexbear are under moderated is just fucking comedy… I’m banned from like a third of hexbear for saying “short bus” once (although 90% of that is just alaskaball being a sad, petty tyrant like flyingsquid used to be on .world, but even sadder because half the communities they ban their enemies from are abandoned)
It’s honestly disgusting that the most Holocaust obsessed individuals on the planet didn’t see Cuomo’s racist campaign and go “I feel like there was a poem about people being next and needing speak out or something?” Cuomo’s racist campaign should have gotten 0% support from ANYONE.
Your experience may vary, but I’d wager if you put that player on a PlutoTV IPTV stream in the US an ad break would kill your stream at least 10% of the time, making it fairly unwatchable
For generic m3us Kodi is the only good FOSS option I have found that works today with the broken stream shit. But it only works on RISC shit, so if you are Android on Intel, you’re fucked.
Won’t SOMEONE think of the cryptobros!?!? 😭
I mean like 10k+ users by “mass audience,” ala Telegram. As far as I am aware, nothing will do a channel that large and actually encrypt e2e.
This is all very vibes of the initial failure of Russia to take Kiev. Also the fact that they’re media blacking out the damage… If Iran just war of attritions them with a few cheap drones constantly for months… They do have a sugar daddy in their vassal state, America, but China controls all the upstream inputs, and America has already blown a lot of its load in Ukraine.
I’m also pretty sure Signal has a low cap on users per group – to do real encryption you’re inherently blasting all X users’ public key to all X users, AFAIK, nobody is really doing real encrypted group chats for mass audiences, although we do live in infinite compute world, so maybe I’m not up to date.
Well teeeechnically it’s a non-linux linux-based unix… But I’d LOVE to see some Solaris porn up in here even, so I will allow it
Israel just straight up bombs hospitals for the sake of destroying infrastructure and killing doctors, so… You cannot violate every rule of war and then complain about YOUR hospitals being bombed.
I mean, news IS modded by woke scolds who somehow are here and not on .world…
I think it may be vanilla. They add those “thought provoking stories” for users in certain markets based on Pocket. OP should just try disabling all the “show me ads on the homepage” settings and I wager it would all go away.
