Just like all the worst real-world school subjects, her magic system isn’t something with a logic you can learn to understand, it’s something arbitrary you have to memorize. These poor kids are out here taking the equivalent of anatomy classes all day (why is that bone called the tibia? Don’t worry about it, just memorize it).
She looks so offended
You were too nice to minorities. Hate harder next time so the bigots will like us.
Most people prefer not to eat tendies off a paper napkin for every meal. Your case is not the norm.
Cold press is the method, extra virgin means first pressing. After the first go, you start to get more baby juices and solids mixed in with the oil.
His net worth is about 17% of all the cash in circulation in the US. One asshole.
I love the book, just gently poking fun.
I’ve never seen anything above 30% suggested anywhere in the US. This is an extreme outlier and would make even people used to our crazy tipping culture balk.
House of Leaves. That way if anyone notices you’re holding it upside down they’ll just think you’re really into it. And if anyone asks you what it’s about you can say “I have no fucking clue what’s happening, there’s a house I think?” and you’ll be correct.
Most boyfriends will come back home if they accidentally escape. Make sure to put a bell on your boyfriend’s collar so if he does get out he doesn’t decimate the local bird population.
You mentioned space science, right? I’m an engineer at an aerospace company, feel free to message me if you want to chat about the industry, I’d love to help if I can.
Thanks for answering, and I’m sorry about the creep in the replies downplaying your advisor raping you. I believe you, and I know it can be especially difficult for people who are perceived as “masculine” to get support when they come forward about being assaulted. Many self-proclaimed feminists still uphold the patriarchy by embracing gender essentialism bullshit. All I can say is, people are imperfect, biases are tough to unlearn, and living up to our ideals is a constant battle against complacency. I still value those ideals (diversity, equity, and inclusion), and I’m sorry the so-called DEI committee at your university failed to embody them.
The aims of the tea party were bullshit, but you can’t argue with the effectiveness of their methods. The Democratic party needs to change direction, and the left can learn from how the tea party forced a change without being inauthentic political hacks.
So the DEI program wasn’t inclusive enough? Would the situation have been better without the DEI program? Just trying to understand the issue, typically DEI has the effect of increasing visibility but it sounds like you had the opposite experience.
If it was a mutation I’d expect it to be symmetrical too. Glad he seems to be healthy!
Yeah, it’s definitely a powerful metaphor for greed. The image of something constantly starving, never satiated no matter how much it eats, miserable and ravenous and destructive is clearly not something to strive for. I was reading that in some legends Wendigo just grow in proportion to how much they consume, so they never feel less hungry, they just get bigger. Kinda reminds one of how corporations function, with a constant drive to acquire and grow, but they never reach a point of satisfaction, where they’re big enough. They just take and take as much as they’re capable of.
Unfortunately she’s hollow, like a shitty chocolate easter bunny.
