  • Sketchy passing manuover in a charity motorcycle race.

To be honest we were racing honda 90’s (honda passports in NA) so every pass was sketchy, but this is high on my daft list.

Diceing with a pro rider for a couple of laps, huge fun, close racing, a long lefthander coming up, I knew he had a big advantage here, his skinny ass could lean more here (ground clearance is a problem on soggy commuter bikes) so each lap he’d gain a little lead here, this time i’d nailed the corner, got close, two back markers ahead, didn’t lift, passed the pro guy, dived between the backmarkers, over a greasy kerb, massive highside/slapper, kept it pinned and pulled away, I think I scared the pro because I didn’t see him until it was all over.

I had the biggest shit eating smile under my helmet the whole time.

  • Get this one, have/had a very similar f2, it’s an everything bike, track, tour, street. italian import is nothing to worry about, parts are the same. what really sells it to me is the stock silencer and general unmessed with look, seems like a previous owner loved it.

Check it’s charging, 90’s honda 5 wire rectifier’s are bleug, hydralic camchain tensioner can get weak, hold it at about 9krpm for 1~2 seconds and slam the thottle shut, you’ll hear a horendous chain rubbing noise if it needs replacing.

When buying any older bike, look at the nooks and crannys a quick clean won’t have reached, check things like the foot pegs, low mileage bike won’t have worn pegs, fork chrome is a expensive pain to fix, so make sure those are good. Excellent first big bike.

  • Offroad racing will, mostly because you fall over a lot, then you gotta pick up the bike again, mostly I reccomend it for the like minded-ness of bike riders. if you’re interested don’t feel the need for fast bikes, flat out at 50mph with friends is the best.

As for building mass, plenty of stuff online, but it boils down to heavy weights, short reps (5 or so) do that set about 3 times, focus on shoulders, back and legs, eat a ridcously amount of protein.

  • Can only offer you three points, 1 nope sports really are boring, 2 you mention planking, I’m no gym dweller but if you need more muscle, planking is the opposite of what you need to do, lift heavy things, short reps, high protien diet. 3 motorcycle racing, specfically silly stuff like moped enduro, the amount of fun and helpful people you’ll meet in the pits is crazy.
