The point is there are those who, like myself and others, who requested account deletions on kbin.social. And they have not been processed. Over a period of time those numbers add up. Then you have whole instances that moved (kbin.earth etc)

I’m not sure of the accuracy of the user count for kbin, because account deletion requests, at least for kbin.social, are not being processed. <edited>

Good choice!
Why is the NY Times tap dancing around this? It. was. a. lie.
I’m Gen X, and I recall similar complaints about us from the Silent and Boomer generation employees as we were coming up. So, it just seems like more of the same, with the added benefit of more awareness of what’s happening.
No. It’s one of the things I like, that makes Lemmy different from Reddit. Why create a Reddit clone?
The results are immediately visible in performance. Thank you @sunaurus!
Very well said!
I like CX File Explorer too. And I appreciate that there are no ads! I wish the dev would make dark mode available though.
Is AUTHORIZED_FETCH a function that can be enabled on this instance? It’s available in Mastodon, and it’s my understanding it’s available in Lemmy as well.
Thank you for staying with the decision to defederate, and keeping lemm.ee a safer place when Threads arrives.
☺️
Another abandoned instance? For me it’s been bad luck with vlemmy, then geddit.social, now this one? Sigh…
I sure am. Are you?
I didn’t know it was showing that. I’ll check my settings, and adjust. Thank you for letting me know.
Agreed!
I hope things turn around.
