Predator catching channels are important. Should not be censored. Just cause a few channel might had been acting fascist like towards minorities with intention to degrade trans people. Which from many of the channels I seen, they seem to be strictly going after adults going after minors on the internet. If any are intentionally going after just trans people or other minorities just because, they use it as an excuse to harass it’s rare.

I will meet you some of you here. If they are not working with law enforcement and are just harassing people, that is not ok. I’m against this narative that’s going against predator catching channels as a whole because it is so out of touch with reality. The instance defederated from over concern of CSAM. I guess there was also some drama over that decision from both users, but also the defederated instance itself. Not going into it any deeper. Anyone that is more familiar with that might. Although this was about 2 years ago when it occurred. I wasn’t there at the time.

No one is saying that your voice doesn’t risk getting silenced on Lemmy. If they are saying that, it isn’t true. Anyone risks getting censored anywhere they go on the web. (If it’s your own hosted server however…)

If you join a Lemmy instance server with your rule style, then you can post on their communities and not have as high a risk of getting banned. Once you venture onto communities hosted on other instances.

Since things are federated, things may get dicey for you depending on what you might decide to post, and on the rules of the other instances. (and the communities.)

There are rules and guidelines everywhere you go, and they re always changing when you go onto other servers and communities.

If a person identifying as one gender is cross dressing to look a certain way, they are not trans just from that because at the end of the day it is just cloths. Most users in the comments of this post seem to understand these guidelines, or not have an issue with them as they currently are presented.
