Adding fuel to the fire that is the sub vs dub “war.”
I personally enjoy both subs and dubs, but default to dubs where they’re available (except in cases where the dub is notably bad or otherwise detracts from the story). If this AI slop catches on, I may stop watching dubs altogether (well, new dubs, anyway). I really hope Amazon faces some serious consequences for this, even though I know they won’t. :(
My worry after reading that brief blurb is that Cillian would be in the first movie for ~10 minutes, basically just to pass the torch onto the new protagonist(s), who this trilogy would be centered around.
I’m tired of all these “pass the torch” movies, and I’m worried they’re using the long rumored/joked about “28 Years Later” to start a trilogy, rather than close out a trilogy.
I’ll wait and see how it turns out it. 28 Days Later is one of those rare movies where I actually disliked it the first time I saw it but ended up watching it again a few days later and loved it.
It isn’t really anything new. You have the classic quote:
I have never seen it (Jaws 4) but by all accounts it is terrible. However, I have seen the house that it built and it is terrific.
But yeah, it definitely feels more frequent that there’s no passion beyond getting a paycheck or a free trip to exotic locales with their pals.
Fortunately, price info is actually tracked! If you use the SteamDB browser extension you can see the historical low price right on a game’s product page on Steam.
For example, Terraria is on sale for it’s 2 year low price of $4.99, but the lowest it’s ever been is $1.99 (a little over ten years ago).
