  • Since this “article” is just two Bluesky posts and literally nothing else, I’m just going to post the contents here so nobody has to click the link:

    From Ellen L. Weintraub:

    (@ellenlweintraub.bsky.social, February 6th 2025 at 6:41pm EST)

Received a letter from POTUS today purporting to remove me as Commissioner and Chair of the FEC. There’s a legal way to replace FEC commissioners-this isn’t it. I’ve been so fortunate to serve the American people and stir up some good trouble along the way. That’s not changing anytime soon.

    From Tom Moore:

    (@thmoore.bsky.social, February 6th 2025 at 6:44pm EST)

(@ellenlweintraub.bsky.social) must be kept on the payroll and on the computer systems, her access to FEC HQ unimpeded. The FEC general counsel needs to do her job and enforce the Federal Election Campaign Act. She does NOT need a vote of the Commission to do so.

Anyways, nice to see someone actually not listening to this admin’s illegal orders for once. So tired of seeing people roll over and comply just because it’s easier.

  • I’m talking about protests, not parades.

Protests are almost always disruptive, and they should be. They’re one tactic among many and shouldn’t be discounted. If you want to do more than just that, I encourage you to do so. But verbally flogging people for taking action just because it’s not the kind of action you’d personally prefer is just going to demoralize them at a critical moment. If you want people to do more, say “Yes, and” instead of “Shut up.”

Let’s not destroy our own momentum.

  • These ones:

Yeah, I understand that you personally choose to disagree with reality, maybe you don’t like what reality has become, but unfortunately that doesn’t make it less real.

None of that is because they’re “magic beans” from which no value sprouts.

It objectively, undeniably has value. You can staunchly say pretend it doesn’t, but only if you are willingly blind to the voluntary usage patterns of hundreds of millions (possibly billions) of people every hour of every day.

And of course, the entirety of your first comment here.

Nothing of what you’ve stated has proven any of the above. Not that you care; you’ve decided you’re right, and therefore any opinion you hold must automatically be fact. Far as I can tell, you’re here to stroke your ego. Keep at it if you want, I guess — I’m not going to debate someone who only wants to hear themselves talk.
