The local police department has some metric saying there are X amount of moving violations per day in town divided by X amount of officers so each officer must write X amount of tickets.

I see little problem with not funding school lunches because we shouldn’t have public schools at all. Parents should have to pay for their kids education and food and they should owe more in taxes because they chose to have a kid. That, any gun control, emissions on vehicles, helmet or seatbelt laws, property taxes, sending aid to Ukraine, laws that criminalise victimless crimes are a few of the reasons I won’t vote for a democrat. And I won’t vote for a republican anyway.

They already have in some states. If a woman comes to the emergency room with signs of a miscarriage, they are supposed to ask her if she has taken any abortificants and if she answers in the positive it’s a crime.

So is shooting someone raping you and it’s still legal because you get to control what someone else does to your body.

We cannot even harvest organs from a deceased anonymous person without their permission. A corpse has more body autonomy than a woman

Republicans want to force everyone to live by christian rules and want to let capitalism run rampant. Democrats want to force everyone to give up individual freedoms and involve the government more in peoples’ lives.

Both parties claim it’s for the greater good.

Both parties suck. The lesser of two evils is still evil and if you vote you’re agreeing to the social contract and you legitimised the system.

I just signed up after lurking for a while. So far it’s very limited compared to Reddit and if not for the loss of Apollo I wouldn’t be here. But I’m using an app that looks and acts like Apollo (Voyager) so it feels like Reddit did for years.

I don’t even like having to dry off after a shower. It’s easier to put on boxers and air dry mostly after first patting yourself down. It seems to be a difference in ritual as much as grooming. Dudes don’t worry about their skin getting dry or hair splitting because the harshness of their lives or clothing keeps they’re dry skin exfoliated enough and they trim their hair before ends become a problem so they don’t have high maintenance hairstyles.

We don’t have to do as much preventative maintenance because we don’t worry about doing things daily
