How do I turn off new post notifications? I checked Settings but can’t find anything

    Also, there is no setting to turn off auto upvotes on own comments and post and there are still 2 upvotes on every new post or comments (only on piefed I think)

      It’s probably best to keep the first +1 for your own post or comment, as that’s what’s expected from people’s experience on other platforms, and that’s how it will appear on platforms that the content has federated to. Whether a user’s reputation score should give them an additional and visible +1 is debateable, but PieFed might be stuck with that decision now.

        I don’t think we’re stuck with it - it’s something that is easily ripped out and it’s a pretty insignificant feature that I’m not attached to.

        The additional +1 vote is only for accounts that have been around a while and have a positive reputation. This gives a slight boost to people who have a good track record but not to everyone. I hope that if people understand why it’s happening they won’t see it as a bug…
