Yes I am aware YouTube has Superbowl live concerts but I’m looking for one that has EC-3 codec support (dolby spatial aud). Is there even a resource that allows anyone to view Superbowl lives in ec-3. Yes I know a giant tech company that is obviously plastered across the performances offers ec-3 in their platform but you need to pay to hear it in ec-3.

This post is painful to read.

    1. The codec isn’t EC-3. It’s E-AC3. You forgot got the “A” which literally stands for audio. Also known as Dolby Digital Plus.
    2. If you want Spatial Audio, E-AC3 isn’t sufficient. You need JOC also. This is the spatial metadata that accompanies the multichannel DD+ audio.
    3. It’s almost guaranteed that live events won’t have JOC metadata attached because the whole point of objects is that they have to be placed with software in post. It’s not something that happens on the fly. If it is there, it not be noticeable.

You’re being silly. Just enjoy the game, wherever you can find it.

Edit to add this link for reference.
