Well I have been underwhelmed too much nostalgia bait for my liking. Since you go back to Diablo 2 act 3. Also Diablo 4 to me should be called Diablo Online since it plays more like an MMO than any earlier games in the series and the story was very anticlimactic. But if you really enjoyed D4 base game at full price. You may like this addon I would have not gotten it personally if it was not on a super discounted bundle.

I enjoyed D4 base game and story more than 3. I maybe have around 60 hours total though in d4. I’m just in a mind numbing phase right now lol. If vessel isn’t worth $27 I might just use that money to resub to ff14 for a month

Cool yeah if it helps I would set an alert on it. I think it’s worth about $10 to $15 if you just want to finish the story. You know it will go on super discount when the next expansion drops. But take my option with a grain of salt as I’m not really an MMO guy and that’s kind of what Diablo is now.

I take all reviews with a grain of salt as my opinion is my own to begin with. And what I find fun will differ person to person. My main game genre I play is MMO. I agree D4 feels more like an MMO kind of, I wish world bosses were more frequent and more varied. But I would say it’s an MMO the same way Destiny is, but nothing like Lost Ark or something. I will put it on my wishlist so I get notified when it’s on sale again. And who knows, maybe it will get added to gamepass at some point anyways.

Yeah good idea I’m a Linux gamer so no gamepass for me. So didn’t even think of that, you can’t get cheaper than getting it for something you are already paying for.

I’ve invested hundreds of hours into D2:LoD, D3, and D2R and I’ve struggled hard with maintaining interest in D4 and Vessel. D4 itself plays more like an MMO and the grinding doesn’t feel rewarding and that bleeds into the expansion. In my opinion, the expansion isn’t worth the money as the story is really slow and just not engaging so it just feels like an overpriced new class.

I’ll take your word for it. I played d4 andainch and loved it. I recently played it again and made a seasonal character. I am kind of disappointed by how much loot you get right off the bat. You get 10 skill points, and the first random enemy I killed i got a rare item. The first chest I opened I was flooded with a few legendaries and the rest were yellows. I do like the mind numb, maybe I’ll try last epoch or something. I saw they’re getting a big update pretty soon. (I also play POE2 and I love it, but I’m kind of waiting for the flail/templar class to get back into it)

Exactly, it kills that little victorious moment of finding a rare or legendary entirely when you basically trip over them immediately. I’ve been meaning to give Last Epoch another go and a big update sounds like a good reason, so thank you for that. I loved PoE2 it’s friggin great, I can’t wait for the new skills and weapons to release. It was a touch slow feeling compared to PoE, but that didn’t take long to get used to.

Last Epoch is great! The new update is coming in April. The way they handled trade vs self found (merchant’s guild and circle of fortune) is especially great. I have several hundred hours into it already and am waiting on the update to pick it up again.

I bought LE in EA but couldn’t get hookef by their gameplay. It seems their are struggling to keep on the combat mechanics. It’s dull maps with very basic attacks and very little positionning. At least this is my feedback for first 20 hours and stopped there.

It’s definitely worth at least checking out the changes in a few weeks. I know at least some of the changes are to the end game.
