Hello there, I’m Emi from the Godot Foundation. Someone from this community made a PR long time ago about adding the lemmy community card. I’m wondering if there is someone willing to take over the PR so we can add you as a community supported community: https://github.com/godotengine/godot-website/pull/662
I would really like to see more activity in platforms that are not as closed as Reddit, so it is nice to see programming.dev hosting such discussions.
Anyway, just wanted to say hi :)
Cheers!
Hey! Im one of the programming.dev admins and the main mod of this community
I can look into taking over the pr once I get time for it later today or later in the week

Terrific to see Godot have a presence in the fediverse. Hope they funnel their community activity this way.
Thank you Emi!
I just felt the roots of the open source community grow further connected!
Godspeed! I wouldnt be making my game without Godot.

OMG we’re being noticed! I’m going to be honest, I don’t know what Godot is and have zero skills in programming, but it does still make me really happy to see well known organisations acknowledging Lemmy. You seem like a good foundation.
taken from their github page:
Godot is a popular Free and Open Source game development engine and toolset.
They are the 3rd most popular engine behind (commerical) engines Unity and Unreal, and seeing a major surge of interest after Unity altered the deal so bluntly that Vader would blush.
Unfortunately those words don’t really mean much to me
It’s a thingy for making video games
Lol you aussies. He said " free stuff for smarter cunts to make those movies that you control on your metal vision box"
Yay! Good to see official traction here!
This post makes me happy. Appreciate the work the Godot Foundation does and the mods of this community!
Don’t forget to subscribe to !godot@programming.dev :)
Welcome, friend!
Great initiative. Thanks for officially recognizing lemmy.
This is awesome! I didn’t think the Godot foundation would recognize Lemmy
