You are a scientist who claims Fahrenheit is “Objectively” better than Celsius because you can “feel” the difference?
You are a scientist who claims Fahrenheit is “Objectively” better than Celsius because you can “feel” the difference?
Hey why won’t you stop saying things like “You are irritating”, “You are so mad”, “You are whining” etc. (The same thing kids use when they’re losing an argument), and stick on the topic of Linuxmemes community shitting on Windows without sufficient logic? You don’t belong here kid. With your substandard level of argumentation, you belong in Instagram or Reddit. Bring out a valid argument like an adult, or Goodbye. Get help. Get help. Get help. (Average Linuxmemes enjoyers’ response when they can’t bring in facts to maintain credibility in a discussion. Lol & Pathetic). “Get help. Linux good. Windows bad. You are sooooo irritating.” Ewwww. Bye kid. Got important things to do in life.
People like you are so irritating
I never claimed anything is irritating. Just a curious mind finding it fun to intimidate fanboys and hoping to find if there’s any logic or fact backing up the fanboyism aspect. You seriously have got nothing in your hands to counter my evaluation of the Linux Memes community, that most of it is shitting on Windows for no reason, so you resort to suggesting me to get some help. The only help I ever needed from the Linux Community was to get my WiFi, HDR, Fan controller working- The answer was it’s the manufacturer’s fault, and no real solutions. So I found out the help myself- Windows. Now you need to stop finding people on the internet irritating, I guess?
So you have finally agreed that people at lemmy, esp. linux memes would compromise on logic and facts to glorify linux to any extent and talk trash on Windows. Although these Linux fanboys pretend Windows is objectively worse, when asked reasons start blaming windows issues which have easy fixes. Also, every single time I’ve had a problem with Linux, the replies are:
If Windows works for you, good for you. If Linux works for you, good for you. Both have pros and cons, do the risk vs benefit and cater to your personal needs. Instead of blindly shitting on Windows. Never seen Windows communities shitting on Linux, probably because they don’t keep the inferiority complex and don’t have the constant need to reinforce that Linux is superior all the time.
Yes it has reached that stage. But yeah I sat for days to get my fan controller and HDR to work with Zorin OS and Ubuntu before giving up (Surely the manufacturer’s fault). But yeah debloating Windows takes less than 5 minutes with tools like Chris Titus Tech.
Argument was not the plan. Whenever someone speaks for Windows, it’s an argument. Whenever someone speaks for Linux, it’s a fact. Lemmy Logic. Had the question be Why is Linux Bad? I could have listed Driver Incompatibility with modern hardware. The reply will be it’s the Manufacturer’s fault- Somehow this is a more acceptable reply than just uninstalling some bloatware.
If you find random people on the internet talking about pros and cons of an Operating System irritating, you have deeper problems to attend to.
AI can be disabled or removed from the installation file. Bloatware can be uninstalled manually/Winget/Chris Titus Tech Tools etc (You won’t have all these if you install English International) I never get Ads on Windows An OEM Licence is dirt cheap, and you don’t even need it Tracking can be disabled Define customizability? Less stable? Compared to what? I have never encountered Windows nor an Ubuntu crash unless there is some bad hardware like Memory instabilities). But I’ve had more driver crashes with Linux in modern systems (Both AMD and NVIDIA).
Is Windows bad? Why is it not fun? Can you give a few reasons? I would like to try Linux.
I never found it difficult to debloat windows. I have helped people via voice calls, it’s that simple. It’s as simple as copying a Terminal Script, Running it, Checking some boxes, then using Winget to uninstall Microsoft bloatware. Installing a regular distro is easy, I have installed Zorin and Linux Mint in many PCs. But some devices just don’t work. For example, a fairly popular fan controller from Corsair, and I have an AX1650, It didn’t work despite trying many distros, after spending hours on forums, I finally got it to work, but it only connects to 2.4Ghz, another example is Blender, Optix rendering works only with Ubuntu with my card. All these things just worked out for me without any hassle in Windows. Your experience says Linux is better. My experience says Windows is better. Both are subjective opinions and not absolute. Sticking to the original point, what works for you is good for you. And for some people, copying a code and checking some boxes is easier than spending hours in forums to get a WiFi Adapter to work (Speaking from my own experience). Doesn’t mean I lack knowledge in Windows.
Proves your lack of knowledge in Windows. You can literally do all Debloat in a single go with Chris Titus’ Windows Debloat Tools, which explains everything clearly. Or you can just “winget list all” then “winget uninstall whatever the hell you want”. I have said this many times, I have been building PCs for over 20 years now. Recently I installed Linux Mint, Zorin OS and I couldn’t get my onboard WiFi 6 Adapter to work properly, it never detects a WiFi 5Ghz network. Unfortunately I have to use an NVIDIA Card for my blender render, and I’m not wasting anyone’s time about what a mess it is. Even with my 6750 XT it was a mess. Now the counter statement will be “It’s the manufacturers fault for not providing proper drivers”. Well as an end consumer, I don’t have time to blame Corporates, I just need to get my work done.
Could you elaborate on what makes a “perfect” OS?
Ahh yes. Typical Windows bad, linux good meme. When questioned why linux is better, the answer will be beating around the bush sort of it’s worth the months of tweaking to get the WiFi adapter to work. And it’s quite embarrassing to see all these guys who post abominations like this without knowing anything about debloating Windows and stripping the installation to make a perfect install without Microsoft bullshit. If Linux works for you, Good for you. If Windows works for you, Good for you. Get over it. This is cringe at this point.
You acknowledge you can’t get your foreskin back. Which is exactly the point here, you didn’t have a choice, and still don’t. Circumcision has medically defined indications, it shouldn’t be done routinely in the name of anything other than that.
6750 XT.
“Never Crashes”, “Runs like Lightning on new machines” Am I doing this wrong? I tried Ubuntu, Zorin OS, Linux Mint- I get crashes and errors which doesn’t explain what the error is, instead shows some code lines. Runs like Lightning on new machines- In my 13600K build, Windows 11 feels noticeably faster, and I’m able to use all my onboard stuff like Optical Audio Out, WiFI 6 connects to 5GHz properly, unlike Linuxmint. I think I lack the technical expertise to run linux. I have been building PCs for like 20 years now.
The Apple Music App is just a web browser in disguise. It’s bug-ridden too. Although Lossless Audio works fine.
You can. Just make the installation USB using Rufus. Rufus allows to configure the Windows 11 iso to override minimum requirements. Almost all Windows 10 drivers work with Windows 11 too. I’m running Windows 11 on an ancient 1st Gen i7 Laptop with 6GB Memory and an NVIDIA GT 425M. Works better than Windows 10.
What all are better than Windows?
Hello there. With Graphene OS, will you lose camera quality?
