I’m just so grateful that so many great scientists fled nazi germany. Also that those who stayed behind (this is controversial and not known for sure) hindered and delayed Germany’s nuclear weapons program.
You read that in Michelle Obama’s voice? Weird.
…sorry. it’s women’s history month and all.
“mooting?”
I do not think that means what they think it means.
The problem is, there is no way for only his supporters to feel the pain.
Except it does matter. A lot.
No, it won’t stop anyone from using whatever language they choose, but it will cause tons of confusion when they have to interact with the government.
If democracy and majority rule were the same thing, no new democracy would ever have a second election.
His elected position is not a possession. Taking it away is not punishment.
Being removed from office is not “punishment.”
Sure enough! Thanks, that was fun to watch again.
Isn’t that step two?
I feel like step one was “get a box,” but I could be misremembering.
I’m gonna be that guy, even though I know it’s annoying: This is why you shouldn’t use ms products. ms is a company that prioritises their business model over making products that actually serve your needs. That is not the only choice we have, though they act like it is.
Filtering spam is a long solved problem and completely trivial. I receive no spam on my self hosted email, and I spend no time at all working on that.
My old unused gmail account however… I recently logged in after more than a year. The spam folder had about 40 emails in it, and the inbox had more than 8000, all of which were spam. Google over self hosting is not a solution to spam.
There are good people in your life. Share good things with them and try to be as good to them as you can. Social media only amplifies the negative. Things are bad right now, but not all bad. Don’t despair.
I know it’s cheesy, but I really believe it: love is the answer.
Much better! I approve!
Let’s try to make this work! Please?
All someone has to do to avoid being called a boomer is
Everyone born between 1945 and 1960 (in the US) is literally unable to do anything to avoid being known as and called a boomer. The word was around for decades before some stupid mean people tried to redefine it based on their ageism, or in other words their ridiculous belief that old people are evil.
When it is used to denigrate a “mindset” that you don’t like, it is most certainly a slur. When used to refer to folks who were born between 1945 and 1960, it is not.
We’ve all agreed (almost all) to stop using the word retarded to refer derogatorily to folks who do not have that medical condition.
Any word can be used as a slur.
Fine. Use a word for it that isn’t a bigoted slur.
English is an amazingly complex language. Sometimes when words seem to coincide, it’s just a coincidence (see what I did there!).
When speaking of evidence of a claim, proof is a noun, and is related to the verb prove. When allowing the microbial cultures in a dough to develop before baking, proof is a verb. The gerund is proofing, and what you have made is a proofing box.
Your proofing box is excellent and I am envious. On the other hand, now I really want a proving box. I imagine that I can put ideas in there, wait some time, and the see if they are proved or not!
