I think it confronted some issues that many of us have been aware of for a long time in a somewhat superficial way. I also think that it brought some conversations into the mainstream that might not have happened otherwise. So I liked it.

In addition to some of the other things mentioned here, I set my alarm early enough that I’m able to take my time getting ready in the morning. Having a little bit of quiet time to myself with a cup of tea really helps set the tone for my day.
I notice it as much as I notice any other article of clothing against any other part of my body. It doesn’t really register.

Right? This doesn’t read as satire, but I’m baffled how anyone could write this with a straight face.
Echoing the other comments here. It was right about when I hit 30 that I really started trying to live the life that I want for myself. I still have mental health issues to work through, and sometimes it’s been two steps forward, one step back, but at 37 I can honestly say it’s been an overall positive trajectory.
As someone whose grandma lived in Dunlap, I can smell this comment.
I just try to be comfortable with the silence; if they’re uncomfortable that’s on them.
Also why do the children look like weird little buff men? Is that an effect of the pickling?
