The author seems dead set on a tauri calendar implementation. I came across what is apparently a scheduling toolkit in rust:

Which I guess could be used to build a desktop calendar app. One flaw in the ointment is that a calendar program really needs email integration. Downloading an ICS file and manually transferring that over to your calendar app isn’t going to cut it.

Which brings us to the lack of solid calendar servers. I’ve searched but I haven’t found anything popular, OSS, easy to install, and useful for groups. Radicale exists but multi user support is a janky hack, while Nextcloud has unreliable sync. I’m looking for features like:

• reliable calendar sync
• sharable calendars.
• scheduling help - when to have a meeting?
• how many attendees for a group event, how many invited etc.

IMO this device is more of a prototype for working out issues with risc-v in a framework chassis. Not really for doing practical work at this point. Could mean that framework expects a powerful risc-v chip in the next few years, and wants to lay the groundwork for that now.

Seems to me mainly of interest to devs who want to prep for a future generation of risc-v chips.

Trump is all about theatrics isn’t he? But this conviction is a fact, not theater. This loss was not in the court of public opinion, but in a court of law. He can’t buy his way out of this. He can’t both-sides this.

I don’t think there’s any way this comes out better for Trump. Law and order types will have to work hard to justify rallying behind a felon. Business types too. Like it or not the word felon has a stigma to it, and Trump is tainted by that from now on.

They were etymotic too, same brand as the filters in my molded ones. But they didn’t do very well for me. Its been a long time so maybe the new ones are better.

For me, yes. My ears ring all the time due to listening to loud things in my youth. I don’t want that getting any worse. You can’t buy new ears.

I had a pair of 30$ musicians earplugs, but they really changed what I could hear. At concerts I couldn’t understand the lyrics; basically they changed the audible frequencies too much.

Got 200$ moldeds made and I don’t feel like I’m missing out when I wear them, at least not much. I can understand lyrics better now. They aren’t completely neutral, but close enough. I keep them in a pill bottle attached to my keyring so I always have them at a show or the movies, or wherever else reckless people are in charge of amplification.

I do think its an odd situation where you go to a show and the volume is crushingly loud, and everyone in the audience is wearing earplugs. At least the music doesn’t get overwhelmed by people yelling out drink orders at the bar. Alternative: silent disco style, with wireless headphones.

Too late on the tinnitus, but at least it doesn’t seem to be getting worse. Lost count of how many concerts and even movies I’ve used them in by now.
