Pretty sure it’s a joke/reminder about jury nullification. “Luigi Mangione obviously isn’t guilty – the guy they got on camera looks nothing like him.”

I get the impression it disengages so that Tesla can legally say “self driving wasn’t active when it crashed” to the media.
The cartoon wall is just an exagerated illustration of why a vision only system sucks compared to other systems.
If you watch the rest of the video, you’d see Tesla’s vision only system is inferior to cars using radar/lidar in other, more realistic situations like heavy rain and fog.
One day you’ll wake up and realize people born on the year you graduated school can legally vote, drink, etc. A short time later those kids have kids of their own … and you are ( or are old enough to be ) a grandparent.
The worst part is you’ll still mentally feel like you’re not much older than your late 20s or 30s.
You can’t get a manual gearbox here any more.
Another factor contributing to the discontinuation of manual transmissions is the increasing emphasis on safety features and the integration of advanced driver-assist technologies.
Ew.
That was the original meaning, but it’s also been co-opted by assholes as an “argument” against providing for people’s basic needs.
Buy why is it human? I’m just happy they fixed this oversight in the (vastly superior) 2001 remake with the Lincoln Memorial.
Technology has never been the problem: there’s nothing wrong with genetic engineering, AI, etc. They can (and have) been used for good.
The problem has always been the “greed is good” sociopaths using it for evil.
Noodles are composed mostly of starches and heat causes gelatinization: which gives noodles their texture, taste, and holds them together. It also kills off any pathogens, which is a good things since it’s fairly common for raw flour to be contaminated with E. coli and Salmonella.
Cold water causes them to revert back to wet flour.
Yeah! Like meme stocks or beanie babies.
I don’t get why people get upset at frequently expiring passwords. It’s not hard: just write it on a postit note and stick it on your monitor.
I flew from Jermany to Tanzania and saw some jeriatric jiraffes.
I say it “Jif” because:
In places where natural gas is cheap and electricity is expensive cost is a factor
In that position you’re far more protected from retaliation than a “regular person” – it’s easier to prove with an established history and courts really don’t like have their judgments undermined. You’ve also shown your employer trying to screw with you is expensive.
Go back and do your job to the letter. They’re either going to be very wary of pissing you off, or they’re going to do something stupid and you’ll get another payout.
“Different world views” isn’t a problem, the problem is users espousing repugnent “world views” and being assholes.
Pretending like we have to put up with other users’ repulsive, insane “ideas” and bullying behavior in our spaces is laughable. Bigots, fascists, and actual tankies can fuck off.
Especially bad when you consider the elevator shouldn’t have fallen in the first place.
Elisha Otis invented his automatic elevator brakes in 1853 – designed to instantly stop cars from falling if the cables snap … and the Empire State Building used Otis safety elevators.
Given how dead simple and reliable the safety mechanism is something must have gone horrible wrong.
– But it generally does in developed countries as the majority of people going through the effort of keeping chickens in that environment are into keeping chickens. You might get some shitty setups, but the norm is decent quality feed and far less stress than large scale commercial setups.
It’s more of a hobby than a “get rich” scheme.
$5 says it was a Garmin inReach device.
They make a lot more than car navigation systems. Their recreational gear and avionics are top of the line.
