Tighten from Megamind as well where he’s like “There is no Easter Bunny, there is no Tooth Fairy, there is no X” since X in the original scene is “there is no Queen of England” showing him as dumb for thinking a real thing is mythical, but most people use it for a thing they say doesn’t exist too

And Clark Kent and Superman have massive differences, not just the laughed at glasses thing. There’s things like changing his demeanor, the fact that Kent is several inches shorter because he both slouches and uses his super strength to compress his own spine with his back muscles, constantly slightly vibrates at super speed as Superman to soften his features, etc

  • Rabbi Cartman is the biggest example yeah. He does revert to his old ways somewhat, but only when he finds out the other guys are planning to essentially murder his family and everyone else in their timeline. Granted they plan to do that so their alternate universe clones can live in a world less devastated by the pandemic, and he does eventually agree to sacrifice them for a small chance of gaining them again but a large chance of a better world (possibly for his clone to be tormented by echoes of memories, the alternate Stan seems to subconsciously remember that Shelly died in the original timeline).

We didn’t see much of him but the Cartman who ran an actual time travel company in the episode about the fake one seemed a decent dude, but made the mistake of talking to his younger self who hadn’t had the growth yet so he decides to spite himself to make sure he never comes to be

  • Used to love Iced Earth’s concept album retelling the early years of superhero Spawn, can’t stand to listen to them now knowing that terrorist was a major part of it. Some people can separate the art and artist, or as a matter of degree able to look past some things but not others, but that’s one I personally can’t look past

  • 2002’s A Very Muppet Christmas Movie is an “It’s a Wonderful Life” style movie where Kermit temporarily wishes himself out of existence and is allowed to observe the resulting timeline. Shots of the Manhattan skyline in the main universe where he exists show no Twin Towers as expected, but in the alternate timeline the towers are clearly visible in the background outside Piggy’s window at one point. Accident because the set designers or whoever just didn’t notice them in the old still used for that window, but the implication is hilarious

I’m partial to “The question I get asked by religious people all the time is, without God, what’s to stop me from raping all I want? And my answer is: I do rape all I want. And the amount I want is zero. And I do murder all I want, and the amount I want is zero. The fact that these people think that if they didn’t have this person watching over them that they would go on killing, raping rampages is the most self-damning thing I can imagine”

Stalking would be one thing, reads to me like the idea is training a language model on the ex’s texts to create an AI partner that acts like them so you can pretend nothing happened, which while probably safer for the other person than being stalked (as long as the training texts are never leaked which is a big if) is just sad
