  • I think he is right to worry about defending the status quo in this moment. Trump returned to power in a large part because he offered an alternative and Kamala painted herself as a defender of the status quo. Now I don’t think as many people in Europe are chomping at the bit for change as they were in November in the USA - but I also don’t think people are exactly pleased either.

There are real concerning global changes occuring at a greater and greater pace and people want to hear that leadership is willing to act on it, and sometimes that means talking with passion and offering real change instead of just a limp-wristed defense of what we already have.

  • Yeah the subscription might have been the icing on the cake but their anticompetitive practices have been pissing people off for much longer.

I gotta be honest too, I’d be a lot happier paying Adobe a monthly fee if they seemed more serious about actual updates and bug fixes instead of just jamming more AI ‘features’ down our throats.

There are two bugs in Illustrator alone that have been following me around for years, unfixed.

Over the last few decades the GOP gradually dropped any pretense of morality taking the easiest path possible for coalition building: assembling the stupid, bigoted, gullible and conspiratorial, the least empathetic, the overworked and underinformed. They left conservative ideology back in the 80s and have won only by preying on these people’s weaknesses.

Until this year however, they managed to have enough ‘adults in the room’ to keep big business on their side so you gotta think big business this week is shitting their pants with the realization that the base has now fully overrun the party.
