with a plug which can only be used by other brands.
Let’s not spread misinformation. Teslas come with an adapter to use J1772 plugs for charging, they can use those stations just fine.
Look kid! Big Ben… Parliament!
I think you missed the joke.

Mosquito magnet. I have one, they work very well.
In the US, electric vehicles are only affordable for wealthy drivers.
Here’s 14 used EVs for under 5k. Yeah, they’re not the greatest whizbang self driving blah blah blah, but I put almost 100k miles on a 2011 Leaf and had little issue with it, and my kid is still driving it to this day. It’s all you need if you’re just running around town doing errands. Rent something for long trips.
Well have a nap… THEN FIRE ZE MISSILES!!!
There is competition here, though. It’s not like it’s a single insurance company monopoly. You can usually get a better deal by shopping around.
It’s kind of funny you mention this. I just sat down and went through every insurance company I could find (over 15 of them) that are still writing policies here in CA because Geico decided to jack my rates over 20% this renewal. Literally every one of them were within $5 every 6 months of the price Geico is charging me for the renewal.
Tell me again how I’m supposed to “get a better deal by shopping around”?

Yes, and 2 wrongs make a right of course. /s
Or maybe it’s about vengeance and not about paying a due to society?
monthly subscription for “Walmart+” where you can scan and pay for your items as you shop and never even have to go through the registers or kiosks at all.
This isn’t entirely true. You still have to stop by the self checkout and scan a code on the screen there and confirm a few things, but it is way faster.
That hasn’t been a thing for many many years.
Yup, we did 2 x 5200+ mile round trips this year with zero issues. I think the problem is that people don’t like the fact that you actually have to think a tiny bit and plan a tiny bit sometimes instead of just jumping in the car and going until it yells at you to stop and get gas. People in this country, especially the anti-ev crowd, really dislike having to think for themselves.
Just to clarify something… they say it “resets the switch” but some people may not realize in Cisco parlance, that means factory reset, as in wipe it completely and start with a fresh config. It was WAAAY worse than just rebooting it.
When Express Setup is inadvertently invoked by the protective boot of the cable, these messages are seen in the syslog:
%SYS-7-NV_BLOCK_INIT: Initialized the geometry of nvram
%EXPRESS_SETUP-6-CONFIG_IS_RESET: The configuration is reset and the system will now reboot
%SYS-5-RELOAD: Reload requested by NGWC led process. Reload Reason: Reload command.
%STACKMGR-1-RELOAD_REQUEST: 1 stack-mgr: Received reload request for all switches, reason Reload command
%STACKMGR-1-RELOAD: 1 stack-mgr: Reloading due to reason Reload command.
After this occurs, the device resets. The startup configuration is erased once the device enters Express Setup.

Well, it’s a good thing that people can like different things than you. Good lord, talk about main character syndrome.
