Only cost him £100,000 too. He started debt acquisition company so you buy debt for pennies on the pound.
The article also says:
Sheen said he did not have £100,000 to “throw around” and therefore wanted the project to be “effective”

I already don’t use Amazon and I think I might actually have them at a net loss as I used to say things didn’t arrive back when they would do anything to make you happy.
Upvoted because everybody should stop using Amazon.
I wouldn’t want to generalise everybody but I honestly can’t comprehend how anybody would want to act like that.
Like my views are based on what I believe is right and what a society should be based on my morals and not just the opposite of some other people. I find it odd.
I don’t even know if I believe conservatives to be bad people and more I assume they’ve been lied to and it’s hard to get them to see the truth.
Just curious as to why you would want to shop there now because of this boycott? Not judging just curious.
Like it seems you didn’t shop there but now it’s contrarian to do you want to.
I can’t relate to this at all.
We use windows machines as software developers at work and really have no issues at all. Never had a bluescreen in these two years.
I use windows at home to play Factorio, Minecraft, and RDR2. Again, never had an issue. No blue screens. I turn it on open steam and play my games then turn it off when done.
I tried Linux again cause I got sucked in by this echo chamber and that did not go well at all. I explicitly said I don’t want to have to be a nerd in my free time to manage Linux which I was assured isn’t the case. Then one day I turn it on and have no sound and no idea why it just died. I swiftly removed Linux and went back to windows.
I do use Linux for servers for Jellyfin and stuff and I like it for those things, but me personally have had a better experience using windows and I can’t understand all these people against it.
But they said they wanted to watch it in the cinema. Confused by this reply.
You want to free the dude that just killed 29 of their colleagues, who also made other inmates fight?
Also happened to Range Rovers once people realised they were insanely easy to steal.
It got so bad that people that owned them on finance could no longer get insurance. This made a tonne of them hit the second hand market making them cheaper. Meaning people with finance couldn’t even sell the car for the money they owed on the finance.
Range Rover started offering their own insurance and I did a quote for fun and they just said nah fam.
Shit! I love my job as a software developer and my employer is amazing, but I wish they would do this for me. Also ADHD and I have an existential crisis every time I’m on a larger task with little direction.
I love the small things or when things are spec’d out in to small parts. Currently have to extract this sick calendar my boss coded and repurpose it in an application I am creating for them and man it’s not as easy as it sounds when you get overwhelmed.
Pasting my top level comment for visibility.
It would have been nice for some context in the post body, but after reading the comments I learnt this is talking about No Other Land the Documentary.
For those looking to watch this if you’re in the UK, or have a VPN, then you should be able to watch on Channel 4.
Here is a link I will be watching this evening.

If the jacket doesn’t fit then you must acquit.
They’ll be laws against that though.
Doesn’t it say in the bottle?
I have heard of him actually, well I didn’t know his name but I’ve heard about him.
Exactly my point. You can’t expect people to change on their own and it’s on us to try and make the world a better place, as per our morals.
This is my approach to hobbies. I spent two years kinda learning Spanish n Duolingo and had a 2 year streak, but then I just stopped and wasn’t mad cause the goal wasn’t to learn Spanish it was just something I was interested in at the time and was fun.
I’m all about journeys and doing what is fun at the time but I’m not forcing myself to finish things if I don’t want to. Maybe I’m broken but I have lots of fun and never get bored.
I wouldn’t say I need to, but more I would like to.
If people are voting against their own interests because they have been lied to then don’t we owe it people to try and get them to see how the world works?
If people are hating on immigrants and poor people rather than the class system that is extracting all the wealth from areas then surely having more people onside makes it easier to change the system.
I agree that most people are good people and maybe just misinformed or have had their frustrations weaponised against them.
I know there are but my employer is amazing and the work life balance is great. Don’t care enough to try and change our tech stack, but I hold no ill will towards anyone who does care enough.
Yup. Software developer here for a small company. We use a Windows. Chrome for testing applications and edge is just there. We are all in on Microsoft, server is C# .Net, running on azure with teams and outlook and office.
I do use Firefox though but I’m the only one out of 7.
I mean it should be feasible. Once you work out what the costs involved in setting up a company. There is a likely a process where you bid against other companies to buy debt. Then you just get to send people nice letters saying you won’t chase the debt or you’ll write it off.
