  • I’m friends with some atheists and a LaVeyan satanist (which is technically an atheist) and they’re amazing. They attend weddings (and behave like they’re having the time of their lives on the dance floor), have no problem participating in religious practices (e.g. prayer before an event), doesn’t even bring up their belief unless asked, and are very respectful of other religions even if that respect isn’t always reciprocated.

Sa internet lang ako nakaka-encounter ng dipshit atheists (particularly on Reddit), and they’re honestly more insufferable than the most cockshovingly arrogant fundamentalist.

  • Same here, mostly because I’ve been a Mavs fan since the early 90s. I’ve witnessed the entirety of the Nowitzki era and the Three Js, and now Luka.

When people assume a certain team has all the advantages and going to curb stomp someone, it usually doesn’t work out as they expect. I feel like Dallas is going to have a gameplan for the Celtics spacing and steal a few wins. It’s not like they haven’t seen a five-out offense before. OKC had one when Giddey sat.

  • Hindi naman gagawa ng malaking reactor. Small modular reactors (SMR) yung balak i-deploy ng Meralco kaya mabilis lang and safer kasi less risk. We have scientists sa PNRI who are already managing a reactor na larger in comparison.

That said, feasibility study pa lang naman… which was reported late last year din. It’s completely theoretical. If anything, ang worry natin dapat sa politicians should be that they’re old, ignorant, and resistant. Haharangin nila arbitrarily yung nuclear energy out of fear kasi “meltdown this” or “san ilalagay that” when those aren’t applicable (or grossly overstated with regards) to SMRs. Or worse (way worse!) yung mga lackeys ni Duterte that want the BNPP reopened and reused for this purpose.

Mind you, hindi lang sa mga obvious na bugok sa senado applicable yung worry na yan. Even the lone decent senator we have, Risa Hontiveros, is trumpeting the same BS as most people. Fucking JV Ejercito is actually the sane person regarding this! Surprisingly kasi he’s not pushing for BNNP reopening but to follow PNRI’s lead.

  • As usual, fear-mongering na naman sa social media. Corruption this, incompetent that. As if naman mga politician magpapatakbo nung reactor or soviet-era infra gagamitin.

And off the top of my head, anong project ba natin ang natuloy that ended up endangering the lives of people?? Mga corruption scandals natin sa infra usually involve unconstitutionality (such as overpricing, preferred bidders sa ZTE scandal), may mga umaalma na sectors (fisherfolks in Laguna involving the scrapped megadike highway), or just poorly designed but not hazardous (footbridges).

The plant will be handled by scientific experts with modern construction materials and mindsets. Not to mention na micro modular plant gagawin. Pinagsasabi niyo diyan na Chernobyl at Fukushima, lmao.

  • Filipinos are giving way too much malice to a completely innocuous response and finding an excuse for outrage again. Ang ayos ayos ng sagot ng BGC kinukulayan ng ibang meaning.

BGC is simply promoting Banksy’s exhibit which will be held on MET, a museum that existed long before that business district was established. Whether Banksy represents anti-capitalism or street art is irrelevant. That doesn’t mean you can just waltz in on private property and start painting away.

Now, it remains to be seen if Banksy sanctioned the use of his works by MET. If that’s the case, you should aim your hate towards the museum (either for using his works without permission or for “gentrifying” his art) not BGC.

PS: And idk about you but Banksy is no longer the pure political activist he once was. He viciously defends his IP nowadays and his designs are even used with Bearbricks (collectibles ng mga millionaire rich kids) or a part of art auctions kahit prank pa yan. There’s nothing necessarily wrong with that because in the end we live in a consumerist, capitalistic society and concessions must be made, which is why I don’t agree with losing your shit over a museum curating your artwork. In the end, people get to see and appreciate your work and perhaps sympathize with your cause, which I believe was the point?
