I was probably was able to set up more effective filters as things coalesced onto that instance then I guess after reviewing my filter list. I’ve got community blocks as well. I’d prefer to block communities, not instances. No reason to miss out on interacting with folks just cause they’re into different things than I am necessarily.
Good to know. Is pawb.social the instance to block now then to achieve the same goal?
I blocked yiffit.net pretty early on, so I guess that? I’m not interested in the content they post, so it was easier to block the entire instance rather than each random furry porn community that would pop up onto c/all. No shame or anything against them though, just not my thing.
0·7 months agoCounterpoint. Maybe it wasn’t the folksy music that resulted in her musical maturity and it was her hitting a milestone age. It’s a well known fact that artists crossing the 34 year old barrier mature significantly and often hit their artistic stride. You can actually Google “mature rule 34” to see more examples of this!
It’s the Blended Retirement System and it is a blend of a pension and an employer-sponsored retirement account. In the BRS service members went from 2.5% per year of service to 2% and gained a 5% match to their Thrift Savings Plan. So a member retiring at 20 years in the BRS would receive 40% of their base pay as pension vs 50% under the traditional military retirement system.
