Nah, I don’t think my issue is with age; it’s with lifelong politicians. Introduce term limits.

Sweats, shorts, hoodies, sneakers.
For real, government funded space program ≠ innovation at scale
Ah, you know what you’re clearly correct. China, who is not a communist state, has a population of a billion people, and an authoritarian regime who would love nothing more than for it to look like China’s innovating having filed more patents than the next nine countries combined means that Communism drives innovation!
Besides common knowledge, you could also research why China files so many patents (subsidys per patent filed, and the fact China acknowledges utility model and industrial design patents that are not considered patents in most countries [AND these patents make up at least 75% of those filed in China, meaning their number of real (invention) patents is more like ~400,000, and that 75% is conservative.
That second paragraph isn’t necessary though, your point never had legs to stand on.
This has not been universally true among socialist states.
An interesting point against communism is the lack of drive for innovation it creates. If you’re living in a truly classless society (which has never and does not exist), you have no drive to do better, there is no personal reward to innovate besides progressing your society in ways you’ll likely never see / be rewarded for.
Absolutely not, I only tip waitors / waitresses or delivery people.
Any women who (who we’re already assuning I’m interested in enough to take on a date) won’t go on a date with me because of my phone’s OS are dodged bullets imo.
I do. However, computers should function as computers.
Apple products are all about stupid proofing.
Where do we draw the line between a functioning computer and chromebook? an IoT device? Stupid-proofing should not come at the cost of basic functionality.
Preventing side loading protects people who don’t know what side loading is.
No, it does not. Users attempting to sideload an app would obviously be warned, not to mention various other methods of malware scanning / sandboxing which can alleviate that non-existant issue.
Those of us who want it are a vocal minority trying to screw up their entire business strategy.
Creating Fisher Price computers is not a valid business strategy, and serves as a detriment for all users regardless of proficency. User freedom is beneficial for absolutely everyone.
Read You is the best I’ve found for android, however I always use newsboat on linux.
I cant find it now, but there’s a great quote from someone in Nixon’s FDA that basically amounts to “We were lying about the drugs to target the minorities. We knew we were lying.”, some real Legion of Doom shit.
What? In what way does that have anything to do with banning nicotine?
All drugs should be legal. Heroin should be legal. What actions people decide to take towards their own bodies are none of the governments concern (outside of offering rehabilitation).
Emacs
I very much enjoyed that, interesting stuff.
Because only the moment when the final Palestinan is dead will Israel’s justification for existing no longer be obvious nonsense. The best case-scenario for Israel is a successful genocide.
No fucking shit, the lack of a Palestinian State is the retarded circlejerk justification for Israel’s existance. That’s like asking Andrew Jackson to acknowledge Native American land claims equally to Europeans.
Agreed, Invidious is so much lighter than YouTube that I’ve had sucess watching on onion instances via Tor.
