You are misunderstanding how the system is supposed to work.

We have a responsibility to vote, but no candidate is owed a vote.

The government is meant to execute the will of the people. That’s why we live in a democracy. That means that the government is supposed to work for you. The politicians are supposed to essentially be public workers that are hired via votes of the citizens.

These public workers are supposed to be a reflection of the will of the people. If they don’t match what we want, then they don’t win.

No one is owed our votes. They are supposed to earn it.

That’s not how this works. It is not a voters duty to vote for a candidate. The voter does not owe a candidate votes.

Giving someone your vote is like giving them your personal political power. That’s why the popular vote works.

The responsibility is on the party to put forth appropriate candidates that reflect the will of the people. It is up to them to sell themselves to us, not the other way around.

In a democracy, all power is derived from the will of the people. They work for us. Not the other way around.

Give us a suitable candidate. Biden is too old and everyone knows it.

Give us someone that is actually progressive and that actually wants to help the American people. We have a few very obvious issues that neither of our geriatric overlords are addressing.

1. ADDRESS CLIMATE CHANGE. This is the most important one. Just do something. Anything. Nothing is being done and it’s getting hotter every year.

2. Lower the cost of living. Rent is out of control. Food costs are out of control. It’s hard to live right now. Protect US citizens from corporate greed.

3. Fix the real estate market. Most of us will never be able to own a house because several corporations have been allowed to run amok. Make it so the average person can buy a house.

4. Healthcare for all. It’s not complicated.

5. Stop the genocide.

Put someone forward with this obvious and simple platform, and I promise they win.

We are not married to Biden. Get us someone younger. Why is this so hard?

Democrats need to pull Biden and give us a candidate worth voting for.

Biden is not a suitable candidate. There is still plenty of time to get someone new.

Biden is simply not our best option.

The billions and billions of our tax dollars we spend on our military are largely used to make weapon manufacturers more wealth.

You could easily provide healthcare for all and housing for all with that money and still have a huge surplus of cash.

Are you kidding? Almost none of these points are true. We have almost none of these points besides libraries which are constantly being refunded, and schools that are all but useless.

We are doing nothing more than a token effort to fight the climate collapse, no such thing as free daycare, there is not free medical care, paid maternal leave is laughably short, and so on.
