My phone has a passcode, so does my password manager and my MFA app - all different passwords. Those are the only ones I need to remember, so it’s not too bad.
Probably not ideal, but to break that someone needs to A) physically get my phone, B) unlock my phone, C) unlock my pw vault, and D) unlock my MFA app. I’m fairly confident in my setup.
Same, but my seeds are stored in a separate vault from my passwords. Seems like having MFA and passwords in the same place defeats the purpose. I used to let keepassxc auto fill MFA tokens, but finally changed to a separate app.
Apple ][e, it became “mine” in 90 after we moved. It’s still at my sister’s house, needs anew drive cable (we think). I bought a P2 350MHz a few years later so I could do something useful…those were the days…
First phone was (I think) a Razr, in 03. My dad was more than happy to buy me a phone so he wasn’t worried about me driving back and forth from college.

It’s divisive, but I like it. I have fond memories of playing that game with my dad when I was young. When we reached the great palace, I died so quickly that he once got up early and started playing at 5am to farm extra lives for me. I went into the palace with 26 extra lives.
…I didn’t die at all on that run.
I still play it about once per year. In fact, I just finished it again about a week ago. I want to play the remade fan game, I just haven’t had time to sit and get it setup.
I have a bathroom vent going through the wall. No problem at all, in Wisconsin.
The vent cover has louvers that close it off, plus a shroud covering it. Weather is not a concern.
I have not. I don’t handle our hardware much, so I’m not entirely sure what we’re using.
We use a separate subdomain. For example, all our hosts are joined to the ad.example.com domain, so remote management would be the same hostname on ilo.example.com.
We also have all HP hardware (at least for servers), so we have everything in OneView. Other devices (NetScaler SDX appliances, other stuff with management interfaces) just have their interface in that subdomain and it works out great.
Same here. Seems like Google did a pretty good job with the eSIM registration in their app. I’ve swapped phones a number of times with zero issues.

I just got a Steam Deck, and I bought Baldur’s Gate 3. Pretty sure I’ll finish it on my deathbed. It feels like the hour here or there that I manage to play is not getting me anywhere fast.

Wisconsin, being gerrymandered beyond belief, forces the university to play the game or risk even more retaliation from the legislature. I don’t know if that’s what’s happening here, but I can see it as a possibility. Also likely that they don’t want to upset donors, etc. At the end of the day, they are looking out for their pocketbook, like always.
My first job out of college was for an global company. I was there just over one year when they announced they were outsourcing us. On the day of announcement, there were two meetings. One way getting hired by the outsourcer, the other was being let go at some point in the next year (after turnover). Since subset of the let go group was booted that day.
It was a great lesson to learn early in my career.
My loyalty to my employer extends to the 40 hours they pay me. I accept my on call week three times per year, because I’m in IT and that’s just how it goes. But past that, I don’t care. I do, however, appreciate and enjoy my coworkers. We are friends, and no one abuses that friendship. I would miss working with them if I left, but that’s not enough to keep me where I am. I’ve been looking, but not terribly seriously. For the most part I’m left to manage my stuff, and I don’t get too much hassle from above. There is, however, a ton of corporate BS these days.

I’ve very seriously considered that. Right now, we could probably go down to one car without issue. We have two reasons why I’d like to maintain a second, though. We have young kids, and we are already starting to run them around to different places at the same time. We’re looking to move soon, and the idea is to move outside of town where we have more room. That would make basically every drive longer, which would increase the likelihood of needing a second vehicle.
Either way, an EV should be fine. Depending on cost, I might stick with a small, used ICE this time, because I don’t need much. But I’m not at that point quite yet, so maybe things will change by the time I’m ready.
I was among those worrying about range until I spent 5 minutes thinking about what I actually do on a daily/weekly/monthly basis.
We’d still have my wife’s ICE van, we both work from home, and 99% of the time my work-related travel is local (within 5 miles). My wife’s van can pull the camper for our camping trips, or for our longer drives.
I have no good reason not to get an EV for my next car.
Mother-in-law ended up getting COVID last week, so her birthday plans on Christmas Eve were cancelled, plus they couldn’t come to see the kids today. Our hot water heater seems to have a failed thermocouple, so we have no (instant) hot water at the moment.
Nothing is “ruined,” just annoying.
Our pediatrician approached the question of COVID vaccination for my daughter very gently with me. As soon as she started I saw her demeanor change and I could tell she was getting ready to change course quickly (presumably) in case I went off on a rant or something.
She immediately snapped back to normal when I told her “Absolutely, yes, if she can get it let’s make it happen.” We had just been waiting for it to be available.
I feel bad for what she likely had to deal with from others. She’s a fricking doctor, trying her best to keep children healthy, and now she is clearly getting enough shit from some parents that she’s gunshy about even bringing up certain important topics. It’s crazy.

FIFY…his popularity is not the issue here. It never was. It’s about actions he took, and what the law says happens at this point. I don’t care how much his base loves him. We can see that even today, after all the history we have, people still support Hitler. People are fucking idiots, but that’s not illegal. Inciting an insurrection is, however.
That just seems like a privacy nightmare. No one touches my phone. There’s way too much personal info on there to hand over to anyone, much less cops.
