My opinion on Linux is that it’s (only) good for lightweight computing / mobile computing.

Such as Rasperry pis and Android devices.

I’d consider myself a nerd but still prefer Windows.

Some years ago I was in a Vocational college for IT and I had to deal with Ubuntu, Debian and Opensuse. I hated every second of it. I also had to deal with iMacs but that’s another story.

Yup, all 1, 4 and 5 star ratings are basically useless. They are either bought by competitors to lower their rating or bought by themselves to raise the rating. I’ve seen documentary about this stuff. There are groups on Facebook and Telegram (that’s a massenger like WhatsApp) where you get product XY for free (mostly trash from aliexpress/Alibaba) for a 5 star rating.

usually I love to shit on muricans, But Germany has something similar. A private company called “Schufa”. This private company secretly calculates your credit score (no one knows realy how they calculate it) which determines if you get an apartment (for rent) or not. Living in the wrong street already kills your credit score here.

If the Schufa doesnt have information about you, it counts as negative.

The same DNS settings work in Opera GX, which means the problem is made by Mozilla

I tried switching to Firefox some weeks ago but deinstalled it immediately after realising that it’s DNS doesn’t work. My ISP is censoring some 🏴‍☠️ websites and I can only visit them by not using my ISP’s dns service.

No matter which DNS i selected in the browser settings I always got an error saying that Firefox couldn’t reach the DNS. I will stick to Opera GX now 🤷‍♂️

Edit: it’s funny how the butthurt Firefox users downvote me for just talking about my experience with the browser.
