I have dabbled with running llms locally, I’d absoluteley love to but for some reason amd dropped support for my GPU in their ROCm drivers, which are needed for using my GPU for ai on Linux.

When I tried it fell back to using my cpu and I could only use small models because of the low vram of my RX 590 😔

I’m not immune to emotion either, but for me it just saddens me when I see owners of genuinely well trained bullies, like the channel i linked earlier, get penalised and judged in the streets. I keep thinking theres got to be a better way but as you said, changing of law will take forever.

They are definitely far more of a responsibility than property, the fact that alot of people dont understand that is mind boggling. They’re living creatures that are dependant on you for their food and mental well being.

Murder was the wrong word. Im not talking about people im talking about the breeds. Wishing for an entire breed of dog to be destroyed when their “aggression” is a result of our selective breeding and is something that can absolutely be trained out of them.

Thats why i said licenses need to come back and breeds like that should legally require training, but our government is incompetent so they’re taking the easy way out.

So many other dogs are violent and vicious, ive been attacked by smaller dogs way more than i have staffies or bullies. Its just these bigger ones that get the hate because theyre stronger.

Poor girl, couldve been prevented if our governments put proper laws in place requiring dog owners to be licensed, and breeds like this to be trained. I use kodi with the jellyfin addon that allows for direct file playback over smb, no more worrying about how the media is encoded. Its a bad problem on my old scrounged together workstation pc with no gpu that i use as a nas lol

The whole episode up until the ending was amazing, it felt like how doctor who should feel especially thanks to donna. “Im donna and youre a gonner” shit made me and my friend laugh so hard. That was classic donna. And oh my god the toymaker explaining what happened to the docs companions after her? Incredible scene. And toymaker dancing around unit was awesome. But then it crashed hard, they pull bi-generation out of their arse. If its a myth the doctor knew about, something that big has to be built up to, to me it just felt like a cheap way to copy the 50th with having 2 doctors on screen.

Although from the small bits ive seen of him, ncuti seems to me like hes gonna be an incredible doctor. That one scene when he kicked 14 and donna out of the tardis, jokingly, with sass was awesome, felt like a NEW doctor, but still the doctor. Also his interactions with tennant were so heartfelt. No doubts hes gonna be great.

Honestly i dont think most people do. We’re all in a bubble of atleast somewhat technically minded people, not just on lemmy but im sure most of our friends irl are similar. Ive been in a few officey type areas and out of the vast majority of monitors ive seen, theyve been using edge, sometimes i even see multiple browsers open lmao. Just checked statcounter and edge is the third most used which is fucking nuts when you consider how many options there are.

Interesting, ill for sure look into it and reply here if i figure it out. The dev manager linked DOES do something to the timer, my dev app shows 999 hours remaining however it still logs out after a few days. I dont use my tv everyday so maybe that has something to do with it?

It really is, its what i do. To enable developer mode you need to make an lg developer account and install the developer mode app from the lg app store. Once youve enabled that you can use this on your pc to install the yt adfree app. Its recommended to uninstall the old yt app first so if your tv lets you, do that. My tv doesent let me but the adfree app still works, it just gets uninstalled after you turn your tv off. You can install the homebrew channel from the same app which lets you install yt adfree without the tool after the first time. The app also has sponsorblock built in with customizable settings, its the best way to watch yt imo

Also note: after a few days dev mode seems to turn off, making all the apps disappear. You can just log back in and they should all reappear.
