Real reason right here. They want a machine that essentially protects them from themselves. It’s also why Chromebooks are so wildly popular in US schools; the kids can’t fuck up the software.

It’s not going to matter how Trump did because there’s gonna be clips of Biden all over social media showing him mumbling and stuttering. He looked terrible, the attack ad footage is just there for the taking.

As opposed to the current system where the richest among us can hire a whole team of accountants to find every deduction possible?
Doubt there is one. The hard truth is that most Americans’ taxes are pretty simple and straightforward. We can stop pretending that copying some boxes from a W2 and a 1099 is difficult.
I mean, personally I wish we’d stop pretending that the IRS isn’t already fully aware of what you owe and could just do the filling for you, like in other countries, but until Grover Norquist fucks off forever we’re stuck where we are.
All well and good for Enterprise folks I guess, but what about home users?
Yeah most people don’t care to maintain a local music library. It’s a lot of work and compared to streaming services that do it for you this offers no real benefit. If you listen to lots of new/different music all the time, streaming is actually far cheaper.
Don’t you need specific CPUs for these AI features? If so, how is this going to work on the machines that don’t support it?
Criticism is definitely warranted, but Apple’s not the kind of company that shows how the sausage is made beyond whitepapers. I wouldn’t expect much follow-up is all I’m saying. If seeing the code is important, Apple is the wrong company for you.
All today’s fix confirms that this bug did exist, it was a problem, and it had something to do with database corruption. And by ignoring requests to comment publicly on the matter, it doesn’t impart confidence that this won’t happen again.
99.9% of Apple customers wouldn’t understand it if they explained this in any more detail. And they’re not gonna tempt fate by saying something stupid like “we guarantee this is fixed forever”. I get where this reporter is coming from but she should probably accept that this explanation is the last thing Apple will say about it.
The only 2 problems that jump out at me; the tail-legs and the bottom portion of the tail stops being hair. Face is pretty cute!

We’re past the point where that matters, but to be completely honest if you need more than “this one was at least willing to pretend to listen and this other guy will just deport you” I’m not skilled enough in debating to get you there. All I can do is comment on where we are.
And sadly this is just the restarting of the war. In the coming weeks and months I’m afraid that we’re going to see even more stark differences between what Trump does and what Harris would’ve done instead.
