They addressed it in the comments on the article - basically they are worried about being sued by Meta if they make copies of the post. Walled gardens are like that so I can see why they are cautious - however I’d prefer they at least included a separate link so you could KNOW it was linking out to Instagram.

Cello TVs are god awful unfortunately. We used them at work and we had something like 7 returns on 6 TVs. Hopefully their carbonator is better!

Hopefully I won’t get shot for recommending a Japanese brand but if you get a chance to try the Sony WH-1000XM5s I find they work well over my glasses.

I pay the server admins for feddit.uk (the instance this community is hosted on) to help with hosting costs because I think they provide a valuable service. Currently I am not paying towards Lemmy (I do pay towards Mastodon development however) but I may start doing that in the future.

My £5 a month to Feddit.uk and £1 a month to Mastodon isn’t much but it’s orders of magnitude more than Reddit and Twitter would have earned from my (adblock using) eyeballs before so hopefully a few of us paying a few pounds/euros/dollars directly is enough to support the services.

Definitely could be interesting - the cable mess is one of the biggest problems having multiple consoles wired up. Old transformers are less than fun to use too - many of them get quite hot and the cabling on some of mine are suffering from old age with the sheathing coming off.

I hear this all the time and it’s very subjective - I would argue the second largest is the US Army Aviation Branch - if you count helicopters have a lot more aircraft than the US Navy.

I would say it means strong but with an implied sadness, but you can have positive poignant memories too - you’d just have to state they were positive. The day I graduated from University was poignant because it was the end of an era and the start of another, but it doesn’t mean it is a sad memory.
