Ehh, you get used to these small minor annoyances. Have not experienced anything yet that would push me to change OS and relearn all the ins and outs I have accumulated all these years I have on Windows.

Have used Linux Mint as my primary OS for a year and I liked certain aspects, but in the end I did not see any tangible benefit to switch besides more customization. Have installed it for my parents though since they have old hardware that W10 just is not meant for. Since they are technologically challenged and need just a browser, they had no issues with switch from Windows.

If I understand it correctly this behavior happens only for newly deployed computers if you sign in with Microsoft account so there are no unexpected uploads to OneDrive, only downloads of your existing files if you used this feature before.

Although once you start saving files you might not realise files are being saved to also OneDrive. All in all it is a weird and dumb change, that popup where you are prompted if you want to enable known folder move was perfectly fine.

Probably not, all you need account for is for sign in after all. MS account just has additional benefits related to syncing your settings and some settings enabled by default like it is with this OneDrive feature and BitLocker encryption, but most of it can be replicated afterwards with local account.

Unless there will be new separate Windows OS created that is not backwards compatible with anything prior to it like it was attempted with Windows S, this most likely will never happen.

Local accounts are integral part of OS. MS might make it harder to do, but there will always be an option.

All that depends on developer. Majority of my used Windows software is portable stored in folder that’s synced with Dropbox. All settings are then usually stored in the same folder so I can easily copy SW over to another machine without loosing any configuration / history.

Some of those programs still do not store settings in same folder, you can often simply export settings from GUI.

They are bugs I guess, but I think for most performance problem associates with delay / laggines. In this example search seemed broken.

Looks more like a bug than performance problem. Anyways start menu search has felt worse ever since Windows 8. For the most part it works, but occasionally you get random issues like these.

Tried it out and it has decent customization although Multiling O still provides more options. That said I think I will give it a shot and maybe finally move to Samsung keyboard since its dictionary and swipe are much better, plus it has some cool features like underlined spelling mistakes, emoji search and translate straight from keyboard.

Edit: Think I have found a deal breaker. My language has diacritics so I need a modifier key to quickly type without holding a key and choosing letter from pop up. There is an option using ALT as modifier, but when it is enabled, keyboard layout is not the standard one where you get like a V shape, second row keys are right under first row and it throws off my typing.

That’s with Keys Cafe, right? Have seen that module, but have never looked into it much. Will check it out later.

Looks good although not sure it will replace Multiling O Keyboard for me. That keyboard still seems to have unparalleled layout customization options.
