2·8 months agoWe’ll be working on a new CLI based on the new v4 app, but we’re currently working on WireGuard, so it might take some time until we get the CLI out.
This is the status from the team.
Only because of the bridge, which is handling the encryption part. That works on Mac as well as on Linux also.
However an integration to 3rd party clients without such an encryption layer (Bridge) doesn’t work.
POP from third party clients, like every other mail service does, yet?
The native Proton applications are needed due to the encryption of Proton Mail. 3rd party clients do not work for this reason.

No there’s no public available API and AFAIK there are no plans for that.
Come on, we both know this isn’t exactly what OP asked about, let’s stop nitpicking here. What OP meant is a “make available offline” function, which exists.

Standardnotes will keep running as independent service and Proton is also looking into ways how to make Standardnotes more accessible to the Proton community.

This is certainly incorrect and I wouldn’t be too much worried about that. There has been huge improvements since the realease. If there are certain sites that aren’t working, they can be reported to the team and it will be fixed. Same as with other password managers.

They did release it, it is pending approval @ Firefox. Have a little patience ;)

According to Andy the timeframe depends on the level of the integration they want to achieve. Andy said he could see an Ubuntu version arriving in the next probabably 24 months, longer to be at the point where the major linux distributions are supported and lets say 90% of Linux is supported.

Generally, as a Linux user, I’d suggest the interview above.
Doesn’t help to post that to every thread which is something different than drive though. Separate teams working on separate products and platforms.
