Same here. I am just so happy to see something different in the browser space. Couldn’t come at a better time!

EDIT: GitHub page
It’s also not fully open source, but on the FAQ page for Orion there is a mention that they are working on it!
2015 was only 5 years ago, guys… right…?
I like to play rom hacks, and sure enough, most of them want you to join their Discord to get information about any upcoming updates or what the mod author is making next. I hate it to absolute death.
Of course! I’d rather send links to someone than sit there and just downvote and move on, even if said person ignores every thing I sent. I tried to help!
My go to is this: Is it Chromium? Move on!
I want to see more Gecko and Webkit browsers than yet another freaking Chromium browser!
The Chinese ownership is stated in the “opera is shady as fuck!” link I sent! When you have time, and if you care enough, I’d recommend looking at the myriad reasons why they are both just really bad browsers, even for someone who can ignore the crypto garbage!
Anyway, have a good rest of your day, Jack! :)
Instead of downvoting you, as is the style on these types of platforms it seems… I’ll actually try to link a few websites. One moment.
EDIT:
Crypto is dumb and bad for the environment
“reward” system, which is not cool
Further issues some have with the browser
And really, it is just YET ANOTHER Chromium browser, which gives Google MORE dominance on the web, which is a really really BAD thing. They are the ones who are trying everything in their power to not only siphon data off of you to sell to shady businesses, but also don’t like how we can block ads, which I care the most about, personally. I’m sure there are plenty more people who are way more knowledgeable than I that can explain the domino effect of what happens when a company has total domination in a field, be it technology or otherwise.
EDIT2: Opera (and Opera GX) for those that like it for some reason…
lol… Brave… Come on man.
That’s what I was afraid of. I was hoping to at least get a big generational upgrade.
I’m going to wait and see how AMD handles this new GPU, and if it continues to be available in a few months at a good price, I might consider moving to them since nvidia is more focused on fake frames.
Sigh… PC gaming used to be a little more accessible. :’(
EDIT: forgot to add that I’m a 1080p gamer since 1440 and 4K are more demanding.
I currently have a 2080ti that I got all the way back in 2020. It’s been a fantastic card, but with some of these newer games, I’m struggling to get an even 60 at the least.
I’m sure that’s largely in part to developers/publishers not even remotely trying to optimize their games.
I’m lucky enough to play mainly all the older games in my Steam library, so it will last me a few more years I’m sure, but the sooner I can upgrade (at a reasonable price) the better so I can not worry about it for another 5 years. :’)
I have very fond memories of Fable 2 on the 360. I would love for it to benefit from this recompilation tech. :')
I’m never going to be able to get a new graphics card. :')
Just finished the LE Trilogy, and the wheel also gave you lots and lots of extra dialogue that you could either dismiss entirely, or would unlock some extra choices on the “main” wheel. It can even change some of the original choices to new ones! Space Opera indeed. :)
Random, but you should check out Emerald Seaglass! Beautiful art style combination!
Just take the humans out of the equation, completely, and let the earth take care of itself.
I believe I saw where you hear that people want small phones, they make them, and then they sell poorly. So, to the company at least, it doesn’t look like people want the smaller devices.
Now, I saw some comments in here about the smaller devices usually being less robust than their normal/pro counterparts, and that could also be a major reason small phones don’t sell.
Might want to look into Legcord, because it is definitely more than just a wrapper, friend.
I’m with you. I install Legcord now so that I don’t have to install that shitty application on my actual computer. I highly recommend it for those communities that refuse to use anything else!
Hey, OP! I was recently gifted a desktop PC, with one spare drive, and 2 drives I had in storage for “bad sectors”. I popped the old ones in (because I have a backup) and downloaded and installed TrueNAS Scale.
TrueNAS’ web UI is BEAUTIFUL and very informative at a glance. What I was NOT prepared for, was the permissions. Like you, I started out with a Synology, because I didn’t know anything. It did what it needed to do, and that was fine. I use Plex and Jellyfin, and the new desktop had a 1660 Super in it, so you bet your ass I wanted to put that to use!
TrueNAS isn’t as easy as Synology, and like I said, the permissions thing really threw me for a loop because of how the wording on things is. To me, it isn’t in english so to speak. I learned a few tricks here and there, so if you need any help, feel free to reach out and I’ll try to help! :)
It was pretty good! I hope you enjoy it when you do get to play! :)
It truly does feel like this! As I’ve gotten older, time just keeps on blinking by! :'(
