  • He will probably suspend the constitution soon. He will at least make a serious effort to have the entire thing suspended due to “far left radical insurgency” or too many “illegal aliens disrupting the political process”.

Idk why he’s talking about a 3rd term. I don’t think anyone expects him to live out this one. He is very old. 4 years of being a fascist dictator might as well be a decade off of his lifespan. There’s no way he’d be physically capable of running again. Being the most vile human being alive is actually very bad for your physical health.

  • Rape already requires an often unattainable burden of proof for which other crimes do not. Male sexual violence against women is also so prolific and so often unpunished that rapists can be senators or even presidents. The overwhelming majority of rape never results in any negative consequences for rapists.

Refusing to participate in sexual relationships with men is a part of the collective action women can take. Women as a class are rapidly losing all bodily autonomy and all civil rights in the US. Having sex with men is literally dangerous. Refusing to do so isn’t just a means of striking but also because it’s literally not safe.

There’s only two things they do care about, capital and power. They are white supremacists and Christian nationalists second, capitalists and oligarchs first.

  • Reality is exceptionally mundane. I watched contrapoints video about conspiracies last night, and I was struck over and over again by this idea. Reality is boring. Why did Elon Musk decide to surround himself with 19 year old boys in his little DOGE club? Because that’s exactly how he sees himself. He surrounds himself with very young, very online/techy men because he sees himself as a very young, very online /techy man. He sees himself as a popular frat boy. The outsider in politics. I guarantee you he tells them when he sleeps with someone. They absolutely have group chats where they all talk amongst themselves and include him the same way. He’s just a delusional divorced man who is almost universally hated by people who aren’t either literally paid to like him or incentivised to like him because of his politics and position of power.

There are literally millions of men like him in America alone. Most of them are his followers. Why does he have the position of power that he does? Cause he fucking paid for it. That’s all. It’s exceptionally boring. It’s melodrama in its finest. America dies not with a hammer blow but with the slow whistle of air leaving a bike tire. It’s anticlimactic. It’s mundane hollow reality. It’s a story told a thousand times before. Egotistic racist divorced man is promoted to management of an office. A few months later, after thoroughly ruining everything, the office is closed for good. Life is empty. The glory we were told was there never existed. The climactic final battle is largely fictional.

Resistance isn’t really about grand fights or sweeping upheaval. It’s about changing material conditions for people. Helping those who need it. Organizing communities and building solidarity. Sweeping upheaval comes as a consequence of those things, but isn’t itself a conscious focus. We remember revolutions for their sweeping upheavals, for their bloody final battles. But that wasn’t what people in those movements had been working for. We don’t talk about the growing class solidarity in the face of repeated violence from the ruling class over decades. The disillusionment people feel from their rights being lost. We ignore those things cause they don’t make good stories to tell in the moment. Resistance itself is (mostly) boring labor and nuisance civil disobedience.

  • Biden sat back and did nothing for over a year while Israel committed genocide. He didn’t have to do that. Why do you talk like he had no choice? Why do you talk like Kamala had no choice? Why are you occupying your time and your anger directing it at Palestinians who wouldn’t vote for somebody funding and arming a state that is massacring them, tearing down their communities and literally raping them?

Would you vote for someone destroying your community? Would you vote for someone committing genocide against your people? Would you have the jews of France in the 30s vote for a party that gave the Nazis guns and money?

This is what I’m saying by you are entirely separated from it. You only see the genocide as a political event that you can interpret to provide material and ideological support to the democratic party. You’re entirely blind to the reality that it was a global series of events supported, protected, enabled, and perpetrated by the United States government under Joe Biden.

It’s over, Harris fucking lost. The democratic party has failed. It’s done. You can’t take it back. You are now presented with what to do now. You have chosen to spend your time lecturing Palestinians on why they should vote for the party paying the state that’s murdering and raping them. Instead of holding democrats accountable for their crimes. Instead of demanding a party that stands firm on human rights and refuses to partake in any genocide anywhere. Instead of demanding change, you are here bitching about Palestinians who won’t provide political votes to a party that engaged in over a year of open support for and defense of Palestinian genocide.

You are entirely separated from it. It’s just something that happened somewhere else to someone else. It’s just an inconvenience to you that it exists at all. It’s biggest impact on your life was how many votes your political party got. You’re entirely blind and ignorant towards the millions of people who’s lives were destroyed beyond recognition by Israel. No, your main focus is on the few people who wouldn’t vote for your political party on account of that party’s support and endorsement of genocide.

  • I’m not saying that not even a single person voted for Trump, mistakenly believing his human rights policies to be better. I am saying that is an extreme outlier. The majority of those refusing to vote for Kamala Harris in relation to the ongoing Palestinian genocide were Palestinians.

Just reading the last paragraph really shows how separated you are from the concept of genocide. The amount of death and destruction wrought while Biden was president is unlike anything that had happened there before the Nakba. The equivalent of several nuclear bombs. The total devastation of their entire culture. They pleaded with the Biden administration for a full year. They protested around the world. Biden and Harris did nothing. Harris indicated she was going to continue the Biden admin’s policy agenda with Israel. You were asking them to vote for people who openly said they’d arm and fund a regime that is decimating their communities, murdering their families, raping their people, and destroying their homeland. This ALL happened under Biden, and Harris openly refused to commit to changing that.
