So, the term Fediverse basically refers to the ActivityPub protocol and the associated server software. Technically, it’s not just ActivityPub, but also the AT protocol and nostr. Another layer to the Fediverse, at least in my mind, is having some federation. Meaning Bluesky isn’t apart of the Fediverse, even though it’s built on the AT Protocol, because of it’s isolation. Since there’s no interaction with Lemmy, Mastodon, PixelFed, or other federated social networks, it’s not part of the Fediverse.

A band that is slept on hard and legit my favorite active punk band is Get Dead. Their album Dancing With The Curse is unreal cover to cover. Only 32 minutes long, but it’s a god damn classic. My favorites on it are Hard Times, Stickup, and Confrontation.

Fat Mike first turned em down, then they dosed his drink with Lucy at the after party, and he signed em in the morning! The signer was a hiphop lyricist originally, which you can hear in how it rides the beat at times, but he was meant for punk rock!

Smash Karts is a lot of fun, it’s pretty much online Mario Kart deathmatches! There’s also capture the flag, hat holder, and a few other games layered in too. Worth a try the next time you want to game along side a boringish video.

Well, only very specific viruses entry the nucleus, most often due to not bringing along enzymes needed for replication. Then, there’s transducing viruses and non-transducing viruses, of which only one will retain it’s genome in the host genome. Both occur near oncogenic gene locations too, which is why viral infections can lead to cancer, but this isn’t very common at all. IDK, guess I’ve always felt bacteria are way more complex and that it makes sense CRISPR comes from them. Bacterial viruses, aka bacteria phages, were the evolutionary pressure which lead to CRISPR’s development. But I’m a nerd and stay up to date with it all, so maybe that shifted my outlook.

Sorry for the delayed reply, but I studied in this field as welll, so curious why you thought CRISPR would be associated with viruses over bacteria or even mold/yeast?

Just out of curiosity, why not just go full Linux and use a Windows VM? Using a debloater (this is my favorite: https://github.com/Raphire/Win11Debloat) makes the windows VM run very well. Plus you limit the extent Microsoft is able analyze and track you. Additionally, this also works around the VPN connection issue currently on going with Windows.

It’s great for emails on account’s where they know you, like banks and doctors offices. It also lets you make em up on the fly instead of using the site or app. I’ve never had spam issues, but it does make the email less anonymous. So it’s a situational thing, but nice to just use DDS@xyz.abc when at the dentist or whatever.

Only portions of the code are published while the rest is kept under wraps. Classic corporate America bs finding a loop hole to use a trendy term.

It was revolutionary when it was first isolated from bacteria. Always fascinating to me that it’s pretty much the bacterial adaptive immune system. Now it’s awesome seeing other scientists dial in the precision of an already game changing advancement.

As I recently learned from Mental Outlaw, https://github.com/raphire/win11debloat is a life saver. Not only can it disble all the telemetry, ad’s, and bloat found in Windows 11, it also made my device run WAY faster. You can pick and choose what to keep and what to delete and it works for both Windows 10 & 11, I highly recommend it! Seeing the OneDrive update made me twitch, so I felt I had to reference this tool in this thread.

There’s a software package you can install to root most Boox tablets. Definitely look into it as this will give you way more control over your device.

GrapheneOS has a duress pin feature, which will wipe the device when entered. This being the case, I’d bet there’s also a method to setting this up on a normal android device too.

Either that or set up a pin which wipes the phone when entered. Wild these are the only real options aside from handing over intimate personal information. Crazy times we’re living in…

It’s IV ketamine use which has shown to rewire the connections between nodes in the brain. These old connections have triggers for depression baked in more or less. So in rewiring the nodes, the baked in depression can be circumvented. The nasal spray then reenforces these new pathways which were created via IV treatment to help ensure the old ones aren’t used again by the brain.
