Are you really even on the internet if you’re not proving someone else wrong, or calling them names?
Yeah, kinda, and it’s a fairly unique source of oil at that. From my understanding extraction and refinement is initially considerably more expensive than than most other sources of crude, but that’s mainly due to the high upfront costs. The upside is that there’s also very little falloff of production, so it’ll keep producing for a long period without the need to churn through new drilling sites.

Ah, fair enough. (:
If you never changed your mind, you’d still have the mentality of a child…
Oh wait…
I’m not sure what this has to do with my comment, but yes, it’s bizzare. It’s like they’re living in an alternate reality dictated by their talking heads, and without critical thought or reflection.
You just know if Konsi actually went in to the stock market, she’d manage to accidentally double her money in a few hours.
Edit: Never mind, I see that the chart in question seems to be from a month ago, and that’s why it doesn’t match.
Just to be clear, is your chart based on the poll’s seat projection, or % of vote? The numbers don’t seem to match the source’s vote federal popular vote projection:
Canada338 federal popular vote projection on April 7, 2025 vs chart in image:
I compared it to the seat projection percentages, but that didn’t seem to match either. Not sure what’s going on here.
I wish they’d bring back proper ui mods. Installing stuff like tabmixplus or paxmod is like jumping through hoops of fire.
Just its own.
This is the answer. One of the best anime soundtracks ever.
Nice! I thought makeine did a pretty decent job of tying things up at the end of the first season, so I wasn’t even expecting a 2nd, and now this is a very nice surprise to me!
Also, I suppose one way to get cars off the roads is to leave them in such severe disrepair that nobody can drive.
Because it’s a clickbaity ad to their website that blames it on Lemmy’s technical limitations, when they could have put additional images it in the description field.
I think VPN is the proper way to go about this, but another method is to do port knocking with fkwnop so your SSH port won’t respond until the host receives a magic packet.
I’m a sucker for the gardien breaded veggie tenders. Stick em on a bun with onion, lettuce, jalapeños, veg mayo, and sriracha, and you’ve got some serious deliciousness. It ain’t particularly healthy, but man does it hit that fast-food craving.
That’s not the only point though. IIRC, they also remove telemetry, and pocket as well as some other things. I personally turn back on persistent sessions and history, but leave all the other privacy features there.
Asides from the kinda-shady crypto stuff and the other things that’ve already been mentioned, just philosophically it should be kinda evident that over-concentration on one corporate controlled rendering engine isn’t a good thing. Google wants the internet to be a walled garden with themselves as the sole decision makers so they can stuff ads down your throat.
Gecko’s web compat is bad largely because of this over-concentration.
I wonder if it’s because I followed your post link there first and it cached it in my client? I honestly have no idea.
