Oh yeah Eric Barone and Toby Fox gave their millions away right? Stfu.
I have a million of these because for most of my young life I was a real piece of garbo. I’ve already talked on here once about my ghostbusters thing so I won’t go into that again because it’s in my post history but here are a few choice examples:
Had my lab partner completely convinced marshmallows were a special kind of sap harvested from exotic trees.
Many grievances against my sisters including: Convincing them that milk containers at dairy processing plants contained cows stacked vertically (complete with sound effects while we drove past) for many years, ghost living in the attic (me), and that my father had another family
Developed software for the express purpose of cheating in Runescape and then sold both the software and the rewards won by the software. Not my best moment but not quite as bad as
Bought herbal smoke alternatives off the internet and fumed them with liquor and wormwood and sold it to my high school aged peers as weed.
Yeah you’re definitely right that there is still incentive to make games performant and accessible, AND that performance still often gets overlooked at launch and patched up post release (capcom and ubisoft you lil bitches), but I think the hard line of a necessary benchmark for consoles forces optimization to be worked on throughout development and helps indie devs manage their scope from the start as well as level the playing field a bit.
But all of this kind of misses the forest for the trees in that no game is going to be made more fun by loosening hardware restrictions.
In my experience an incompetent person attempting to be a dictator is a lot more dangerous.
This notion that hardware limits hold games back is nonsense and could only come from someone with no development experience. Hardware benchmarks have only benefited the ecosystem of games. Without those benchmarks and the gradual standardization of architecture that the last two gens of consoles have provided the indie market would not be flourishing the way it is. Not to mention it forces AAA titles to actually optimize their shit. Imagine a world where developers had no incentive to care about performance? “tough shit buy a new GPU.” A true gamers paradise.
Hawk is also a verb. Many words have more than one uses.
This is a moot argument. You’re saying the system doesn’t support artists and that artists shouldn’t expect it to. Why not? Why can’t the system be changed? Streams should not be equivalent to tweets and it’s dumb to think they should be.
Yeah and there are tons of angles and gestures for human subjects that AI just can’t figure out still. Any time I’ve seen a “stunning” AI render it’s some giant FOV painting with no real subject or the subject takes up a 12th of the canvas.
All of the Virtute The Cat songs by The Weakerthans, but Virtute The Cat Explains Her Departure in particular will make me tear up any time I hear it.

Exactly. Even if the impacts of the national economy were felt among the average voter most presidents shouldn’t actually influence the market much at all anyway. Trumps solitary mission in office was to loosen regulations on corpos though so he, in fact, did help the economy to the detriment of pretty much everything else. It’s an idiotic metric, countries aren’t businesses and saying “profit levels are down 18% :(” is meaningless when profit levels have been steadily ascending to disgusting heights for decades.
He’s saying that by saying “if we make an exception for you we have to make an exception for everyone” you are not even entertaining the notion that the person you make an exception for just keeps it a secret.
It’s a weird kind of thing because if he had bailed out on his charges then he would be waiting for court proceedings and couldn’t be touched but he didn’t bail out he was released, so the trial had concluded and he had been serving his sentence and was then released conditionally by this magistrate judge only to be picked up again? Technically the warrant itself does fly but I don’t see how the charges stick when he has already been tried for them. I assume there isnt any new evidence or new counts but perhaps I’m wrong. Sometimes people can be reprosecuted if it’s determined that the original trial was somehow faulty but usually not so quickly as they have to gather a case for retrial together. So basically this is really weird.
This is now the 4th time they’re trying? Give it up already…
My partner and I do all the regular couple stuff for Valentines. Write eachother cards and little gifts, a nice dinner etc. But we also spend a week or two making art together, just little drawings and what not, and we turn them all into stickers and give them to our friends like Valentines in elementary school. It’s our way of sharing the love and making the holiday more about all kinds of love, not just romantic love.
In BoTW the cooking system is very open ended, you kind of just experiment with different ingredients and see if they work together. If they don’t they make a plate of inedible food that actually damages your health and stamina. Pictured here is Gordon Ramsay, famous angry chef man, who is yelling at Link for making such a plate.
I think it sounds to me like it just isn’t your thing. What you’re describing as a frustration is what I love about Elden Ring, you have to figure out every enemy and learn their patterns in order to succeed so every enemy is like it’s own little puzzle to solve. There’s no secret to avoid that part of the game besides maybe building INT and just avoiding fights which does not sound fun tbh
Pretty sure that was a teaser for OD, his upcoming horror project currently in dev. I don’t think Physint is yet being made.
I definitely would love to see a rework of the network stack at large but idk how you’d do it without an insane amount of cooperation among tech giants which seems sort of impossible
Lmfao oh my lord… It absolutely is.
