  • Politics also push the idea that Switzerland can keep having its cake (stay out of the EU) and eat it (enjoy best trade/energy/population movement). It has been working so far so why change it, right? If I remeber correctly the EU is Switzerland’s #1 trading partner.

However, I fear the EU is starting (or will soon start to) to be fed with the Switzerland cherry picking in their relationship. With the world becoming more and more realpolitik Switzerland might realise she doesn’t have that much leverage against a block of EU’s size.

Well anyway as long as the EU doesn’t put order in its own house, Swiss will always refuse joining until forced to. It’s one of the few subject where both left and (extreme) right agrees on, even if for different reasons (protect salaries against dumping VS culture war bullshit “dictate from foreign judges” in general).

  • Hope you’ll enjoy the Switch 2! :)

If I were you, I’ll be on the lookout regarding Nintendo communication about possible improvements to the joycon drift problem of the Switch 1. Especially since they said they won’t be using Hall effect joystick.

I’m back into tears of the kingdom on switch 1 these days and I understand why I dropped the game in the first place: joycon drift can be… simply rage inducing.

  • I don’t know how politicaly motivated the harshness of the judgment was (and not in a “the politics in power wanted her gone”, more in a “the judiciary system realised shit is hitting the fan between US crazyness and Russian influence and decided to take a step and make an example”) but the evidence were damming.

Proof is: the defense didn’t even try to fight the evidence, rather the interpretation of it and the harshness of the sentence.

Another point to keep in mind: an ex president is being judged for corruption and the sentence requested by the DA is enormous. Apparently the judiciary system publicly told they wanted to put an end to a perceived leniency on the politics and regain public trust.

I’m just afraid this will result in an opposite effect.

    As I biologist I understand:

    -*random bio subject in conversations.

-oh but you’re biologist right? Is that true?

-well, I know just enough to be able to tell you the level of my ignorance on the subject. Unless it’s linked to my master thesis (which is probably obsolete by now) no need to ask me.
