The selection under 500k is still quite good, so I’m not gonna pretend the deal is horrible, and you only pay on the amount over, so a 600k car is still artificially cheap compared to most places.
This is true, but the batteries do not suffer any harm by being used when cold, just charging which we by now agree is not an issue as long as the car heats them up first.
They also expell heat by being used, so they are nice and toasty for when you reach you destination and can plug in.
The misinformation is that they don’t work well in the cold. Truth be told, they are fantastic in the cold. I’d argue better than ICE. That’s a different topic for a different day though.
You are, rightfully so, claiming batteries don’t like cold temperatures. What you fail to add are the mitigations companies make to solve these issues. That feels disingenous, unless you just didn’t know.
If your phone had the capacity and function to heat itself up during outdoor use, it would also work brilliantly.
So while I’m sure the scientific papers are great, without having read them, I’d guess they don’t include the whole picture either as if they would, we’d be in agreement.

You said EVs don’t work well in the cold. That is a demonstrably false statement by the fact that Norway has over 500 000 of them rolling around all year. You can post as many misinformed links supporting it as you wish. If it had any merit, we would not be at 90%+ adoption rating.

The fact that I drive mine in weather spanning from -30 C to +25 C makes me suspect the latter.

Four riders all got them and they have been perfect ever since, going five years now.

It’s a personal choice. As long as they don’t drive or do anything stupid to others, I think they should have fun. Ii’s not cool as potential addiction is not cool, but it’s not a mental problem either as I both drink and eat junk, knowing very well neither does me any good at all.

On a serious note though: I’ve never bern anywhere in Europe that I straight up disliked. Sanremo was probably the «least friendly» with locals all pushing us towards the casino at every oportunity. The city was also surprisingly worn down.
The local market was awesome though.
I think it’s the car more than him. Papa Stroll hasn’t thrown enough money at upgrading the car yet so they fall behind. Feel like the same happened last year.

Norway is incredibly sparsely populated and has an adoption rate of 80%+. We also have stupid cold winters, loads of fucking mountains and require AC in summer.

Your comment makes me think you have no experience with EV’s at all and are spreding false claims.
There are literally two scenarios where an EV is not better than ICE (if purchased new today).
One is for people frequently traveling far beyond the cars range and the other is for people without access to AC charging at all.
And no, I’m not a EV lover/gasoline hater. I ride a motorcycle powered by dinosaur juice too. I just like having 400+ BHP and 700 Nm of torque in a car priced like a Toyota Avensis, and a full tank every single time I leave my driveway with said full tank costing me <$5.
You should want that too unless you belong to one of the two exeption groups above.
