Solar installer, I put solar panels on things and get them working. Recently my company got a reputation for competence with floating solar arrays so we’ve been traveling to build and fix them all over the country. Electricity and water is a fun combo.
This is true, yet I see a lot of them on the road and speaking for my circle of people I know plenty of people who want them. It’s a shame really as I was only left with the civic and that’s the same size as my old accord.
Yeah it was the early days of that kinda thing, went from a c-d student to an A student right away. Should’ve been working that way the whole time for me.
I had a teacher like this senior year, finally one time when she made me stand outside I just went out to the parking lot and drove away and never went back to that school. Switched to a virtual program and passed that way.
All the people arguing for nuclear, are you sure Texas is best place to handle that? I’m fine with nuclear as long as they have a reasonable plan to store the waste, but Texas is horrible at managing anything energy related.

I don’t know everyone on my job sites wear white wide rimmed helmets and the crew owners typically wear the grey carbon fiber helmets, but then again we’re mostly electricians.
Honestly just the basic installer, I travel, which is paid for and put panels up and run wire on commercial sites. I also do residential installs but those pay less, but fill time between the commerical jobs.
I’ve been laid off 5 times since I started what was my career over a decade ago. After the second time I learned to always keep a second or third source of income, which meant I never had a day off or a vacation for years. After the 4th time I gave up on corporate jobs but still took a position when a friend offered it to me. This time I will not go back, thankfully my side work of being a handy person landed me a job in the solar industry somehow and the pay is even better than my senior position at the last “career” job.
