It won’t happen because Biden doesn’t want to do any of those things. The DNC would rather risk the nation crumbling into fascism than take any of those steps to stop it.

He missed a slam dunk when he pivoted from abortion to immigration, there was no logical reason to do that. Let alone some of his other statements. We need an open convention, if Trump is as big of a threat to democracy as Dems (accurately) claim then it is far past time that they start acting like it.
Frankly I see a LOT more of that misunderstanding from people who think shaming others into voting blue is an effective strategy than I do from people who express that they want to vote third party.
I’m not trying to be argumentative here lol. I don’t fundamentally disagree with you, and I think that some people, especially in the most recent few elections, have decided that the only options they find acceptable are to vote 3rd party or simply not vote at all. I hope we agree that a 3rd party presidential vote, in a solid blue state, ideally with blue down-ballot votes, is better than nothing. I’m just pointing out that some people can weigh that decision a lot less heavily than others.
If you’re a New Yorker, then your 3rd party vote in 2000 did not result in, or contribute to, Bush “winning”. All NY electoral votes went to Gore. Personally I think that if you live in a solid blue state, then you have the luxury of being able to vote your conscience.
Probably because he keeps sending them weapons while condemning what they’re doing with those weapons.
Republicans were practically salivating at the opportunity to attack Biden on economic issues.
Well, thank God we avoided that outcome! As long as the Dems just cater to what Republicans want, we can ensure that Republicans won’t resort to baseless accusations.
What happens when they don’t?
You don’t think that realizing he was pissing off his base, during an election year, has any impact on his choices?
It’s super weird to assume that criticizing a politician automatically means someone supports the opposition candidate.
Seems like Biden should listen to his constituents if he wants to win re-election.
Seems like a waste of time lol. Shaming people has never been a good way to get their vote, if anything it just alienates them further.
I love how you view the idea of Democrats actually changing direction based on the views of their constituents (you know, the entire basis of democracy) as such an impossible idea, and the idea that Biden will not change direction on Israel as such a foregone conclusion.
The election is eight months away, Biden has plenty of time to grow a spine and stand up to Netanyahu. This might not salvage all the votes he has lost, but I think it will salvage enough. Rather than browbeating people on the internet about how they should vote for Biden regardless, maybe start pressuring Dems to take action to ensure that Republicans don’t take the presidency.
Oh, I’m neither. I’m someone who is going to be forced to deal with the consequences of this shitshow however it plays out. Since I, through no choice of my own, have skin in this game, I’m as entitled to my opinion as you are. Biden should step aside, and it is the morally correct move to do so.
Biden isn’t forced to do anything. He wasn’t forced to adopt Trump’s immigration policies, and he sure as shit wasn’t forced to pivot from the strongest issue the Dems have to one of the weakest.
