Scientists have previously established that light can be slowed down in certain scenarios, and a new study demonstrates a method for achieving it that promises to be one of the most useful approaches yet.
The only thing to keep in mind is that the photon is not actually moving any slower, it just makes a longer way around stuff cause it is bouncing around therefore moving more, from what I could gather they made a maze for light with some properties that make the “bouncing” of the light lose less energy
