    I like those narrow double-doors they used in old houses. Not really sure why they were designed this way, but I’ve been in my share of older houses that have a couple of them. Not to mention that distinctive smell older houses all seem to have.

    Very cozy painting, i really like this one.

      Two small doors don’t open as far into the room as one big door. If you don’t have much space in the direction the door opens into, but have space on either side of the door frame, like if the doors are placed right in the middle of a wall rather than in a corner, these doors make more efficient use of the available space (at the cost of having to open and close two doors, so you probably wouldn’t use this for doors you often operate).

    There’s such incredible movent in this painting. It’s hard to describe any other way. The use of color and texture somehow make it feel more real than a photograph.

    This is one I’d lose myself in if I ever came across it in a gallery.
