The G.O.P. bill would extend tax cuts and almost certainly make big reductions to programs serving the poor. Passing it may be hard, though.

    Last Month: We’re cutting all of these services to totally bring down the deficit! Let’s pay what we owe, first!

    Now: We need to increase the deficit by $2.8 trillion to pay for the tax cuts because we can’t reasonably cut enough governmental spending and still have a functioning government…

    Worse than I thought. Taxpayers are subsidizing tax cuts for the top 1% again, and MAGA still think they’re “winning.” Poetic.

      Yeah, the Republican plan is to reduce medical care for the poor (which will kill people) and borrowing money in order to give billionaires a tax cut.

          Yup. I’m just one person but I warned people voting for Trump that we were about to get fucked over again by this. Now we’re going to have less services and a shittier future because it takes so much more effort to raise taxes than it is to cut them.
