The dutch know a thing or two about water
I’m countering with this from my home country of Belgium
That’s trippy
Time to recreate this in voxel games
Is there a voxel that does well with water physics? I remember first time I played minecraft trying to drain a lake and being very dissatisfied with the results.
It depends on what you mean. Luanti games and Minecraft all use water source blocks that generate water.
Luanti has a mod that makes water more realistic.
Aquaducts aren’t new. Granted this is a novel design, but it’s still just an aquaduct. https://waterways.org.uk/about-us/news/canal-aqueducts
I believe it’s what is known as a “tunnel.”
It’s not just a tunnel, it’s a water bridge
The pioneers used to ride these babies for miles.
At what ratio of width to length does it become a water bridge instead of a tunnel?
I N F R A S T R U C T U R E
Welp, I ended up searching for it so here is a link. https://interestingengineering.com/culture/the-netherlands-unique-water-bridge
I thought it could have something to do with the levels of water but apparently it was cheaper than a bridge.
But it is a bridge
I’d say it’s a tunnel. Bridges are built up, which is incompatible with the water flowing across.
It’s a bridge for boats.
It’s called an aquaduct and was invented by the Romans. But yeah.
But yeah. Petty condescending comment, and you’re not even right.
It’s a tunnel. It’s just shorter than most.
Oh shit yeah that’s the way to think of it.
