This guy is pretty fucking racist in general. Clearly he doesn’t understand that the actions of countries doesn’t represent the actions of people. He said this about Russians too. (I support Ukraine but it’s not okay to hate Russians despite their government) with his “logic” none of us are free from sin, yet he’ll complain if you treat him as such.
How he is not banned off this platform, I have no idea.
Unfortunately it seems like this kind racial (and/or national) essentialist thinking is becoming more prevalent. I’m not sure exactly why but perhaps it’s due to increasing international tensions lately.
He’s American i think, so if i treated him personally as a genocidal maniac due to invading Iraq and funding genocides in Palestine/Sudan and more, All of a sudden he’d say shit like “not all Americans” but in his perfect logic, non-westerners are exempt from that privilege. This guy should be treated like an actual white supremacist, yet we allow this shit on here.
