I think in the og “the truth” they’re referring to is christianity/creationism and they’re saying evolutionary scientists think they’re too smart too accept it. By isolating this panel, it looks like “the truth” being referred to is evolution, and the people who think they’re too smart to accept it are creationists, which is accurate and makes it pretty funny imo
